Any body got an answer why the $100 parking for basketball and which lots.

It's in the playbook.
They have always had paid parking at the Colonial Center for Men's basketball games. I have used the first lot on the Blossom Street side of the Colonial Center for men's games and plan to use it for the women's games this year. They also have reserved GC parking in one of the parking garages, but I have never used it;

And if you have seen how many people were attending the Lady G's games, you would see they were losing a lot of money. Just taking care of supply and demand.

PARKING
For this season, men’s and women’s basketball season parking passes will be sold for $100 each, based on availability and priority. Limit one (1) parking pass per account holder; men’s and women’s passes sold separately. Season parking passes are also valid for postseason games at Colonial Life Arena. Charges may apply for lost or misplaced parking passes.

General game day parking in University-controlled lots is $5 per vehicle.

Parking assignments and locations may be reassigned and evaluated annually. WHY WERE WE NOT NOTIFIED?

With the construction of the new dorms the plan is all four of those parkings lots will be gone. Currently their is nothing in the works to replace the lost parking for the CLA or the students that use those lots during the day. Come 2017 all four lots will probably be gone so that is why they will evaluate annually. Unless a new parking garage is built in the future parking close to the CLA will be slim.

That's the bad thing . They took all the CLA parking away and don't help the fans out .

There is a garage on Pendleton at Lincoln and Lady at Lincoln plus plenty of on street parking on Park, Assembly, Main, Pendleton, College and Greene. It won't hurt anyone to walk a few blocks.

USC has plans to purchase about 30 acres between the Athletic Village and Assembly Street. SCANA is the primary property owner of this tract. Further plans are to locate the Facilities Management Facility to this area. Facilities are currently located on Greene Street between the CLA and the rr tracks. USC might build a very large parking garage on this site which covers about two city blocks. IMO this needs to happen ASAP especially if USC develops the two parking lots south of the CLA. Pray,

Those four parking lots are not just used for the CLA. Those lots are packed during the day with students that drive to USC, those garages are not available during that time for that many cars.. In addition the two garages closest to the CLA, DOT and Discovery are used now for parking during events and run by USC during those times. Both are pretty full now during events so that is not going to change. Current construction has taken approximately 1,000 spaces, Adding the Park St garage which some also already park in and a limited number of spaces on Assembly is not going to make up for what is lost. As USC moves more toward the river with the Innovista project more surface parking lots are going to disappear.

Last season they ran shuttles from the Pendleton Street garage during basketball games. since games are at night and on weekends there are usually spots in there.
