After a small sample size, I am impressed with the portal transfers. Josh Gray and James Reese look like the real deal. Martin has always had a tough time recruiting elite players straight out of high school. Thinking back, at age 17 I might have been a little intimidated to sign up with Frank. Geez, the guy was an ex-bouncer at a Florida nightclub and doesn't mind getting in a players face. Maybe the portal will be the big turn-around for Martin. Players with a little maturity may appreciate a disciplinarian like Martin. Maybe this will even the playing field for Martin. All he needs are 2 or 3 players a year in the portal.
