Kirby Smart, would he come for 5 million a year?

Beamer is a joke, but yes to Lawing, VT has the same problem we do, has 3 star kids playing for them, what would Beamer even coach?

His team gave Urban all they could handle today. And, yes, he sounds a lot like Urban.

The next Head Coach, should have proven experience as a Head Coach, be an aggressive recruiter and preferably in the 40-45 age region.
Tom Herman was Urban Myers OC and QB coach at Ohio State. Every offense he has coordinated has been a scoring machine. He took his Houston team on the road and beat a Power 5 conference team (Louisville). His recruiting is ranked number one in the AAC conference thus far this year. And he is only 40 years-old. He should be at the top of the list.
Some of you are just plain dumb. We had a great OL class last year and we have a very good QB coming in. The talent drop off is nowhere near where some of you make it out to be. Someone showed a stat where we have averaged like 6th in the league over the last 5 years. Good Lord People.
Outside of Mangus and perhaps Elliot, which of our other position coaches would you trust to develop those players?
Yep, couldn't cut it at Arizona so why would we want him? Bob always makes a spot for brother Mike on his staff when he's out of work. That's why Clemson got Venables. That was a dumb move on Bob's part.
I hope you're right about McIlwain. I'm very concerned that he may take the money and head off to play pro baseball.
First Nunez and now this kid...You can't play both at the same position...Depending on high school kids should say a lot about the state of the program...
Would be a great choice, but does anyone thing he would leave TCU? His wife is on the board of trustees there, she has more money than any college could pay to make money an issue. If they were to split up he would most likely have to move on, timing would be everything for some lucky school.
The same Kirby Smart that gets blown up every time he faces a spread offense? No thanks. Clemson runs the spread...
You're correct. Smart is no good with uptempo offenses. We hung 35 on him with Garcia, Alshon and Marcus among others.
Thank you, let's get off the Kirby Smart train. There is NO evidence that he would be a good head coach. When the time comes, we need a head coach, not an assistant.
Don't want Smart. Want an offensive minded coaches with a staff that recruites the whole world 24/7.
Wow, not sure if we watched the same last 16 games.. there are about 9 starters on defense that would play very little on the top teams in the SEC. Same goes for receivers except Cooper. SC is in DEEP TROUBLE, if you don't see that , well ok

I say go for broke and offer Tony Dungy the job. What recruit could possibly say NO to Dungy? He is a Superbowl winning coach after all. Double Bud Foster's pay to come coach Carolina's defense. We would be unstoppable in three to five years. 
What the heck, I say go for it. Look at some of the posts in this thread, Dungy isn't much more of a stretch of reality then some of the suggestions on here. It is also called a sense of humor.
