What the hell happened? The Braves were cruising along with last years ace on the mound and facing a pitcher who had not won a game on the Majors in a couple of years. This game was supposed to be a cake walk and it was but only the cake walking was done by the Pirates as they humiliated the Braves 11-1 last night scoring the last eleven runs and an inordinate amount of strikeouts. The chat Tribe has discussed the Braves batting order (mainly Swanson) and decided he needed to move down further in the batting order. Well Snitker listened dort if as he move Swanson to 6 as he switched places with Heredia. I still think he needs to be lower to relieve the pressure to perform. He is in a contract year and after not being offered extensions like Acuna and Albies he is trying to validate his status as a Brave. He has 80 games to change the opinions of those that matter but I would prefer a more consistent bat and settle for less power if it means more consistent contact. He is striking out at a nearly 40% clip batting in the 5 hole. Rally stoppers are supposed to be at the bottom of the order. I am harping on Swanson because of his tenure and Can’t miss Number one draft status out of Vanderbilt. It is truly baffling how he could look all world for short periods of time and all suck most of the time. Shall we call him Hoover (because he blows) 😎 or because of the wind he generates with his swings and misses? 😎😎
Rant over 😂😂😂 Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

The Braves did not play last nigh (don’t correct me damnit) 😎. Ian Anderson will take the mound tonight to begin the road trip. He is still considered a rookie and it makes sense that he is pitching in many of the ballpark for the first time. Especially when the Braves venture outside of the Eastern Division Teams because if Covid19 restrictions last season. He has had slow starts recently and I have to attribute that to his new found role of full season Rookie , New ballparks, fans and facing different teams for the first time. He is one of the present and future Rotation pieces and his development will determine the fate of the Braves with Mike Soroka now having his future clouded with the relapse injury to his Achilles. The Pirates are countering with Chad Kuhl who has faced Arcia a lot because of their central division affiliation last season. Freeman has faced him twice and struck out both times and Swanson is 1-2 against him. The change of lineup structure will hopefully elevate the scoring opportunities and hopefully for clutch hitting.

Clemson's class is top heavy with their top 3(Mack,Taylor Chandler) being #19,20 &21...Both Taylor and Chandler are football/baseball commits. They are all 3 expected to sign.

There’s been a pretty strong shift in what I’ve been hearing here.

I felt like USC was in strong shape coming off the official but I can’t say I feel that way anymore.

There’s quite a bit of Iowa State buzz here now and that would be my pick.

Just didn’t want y’all to be caught off guard if he commits soon and it’s not Carolina. We will continue to track it.

Tight end Jaheim Bell and quarterback Jason Brown have joined other Gamecock student-athlete teammates Dakereon Joyner and basketball player Chico Carter in endorsing PSD Underwear.

I was going to post this over the weekend but my cell service was spotty. I work part-time as a Server at a restaurant in Aiken. One of our regular customers came in on Friday night. He and I always talk about the Gamecocks. He told me that he took an OL prospect from NA High on an unofficial visit to Carolina. My customer said the tour was amazing. He told me about the OPs building and he said that it was a top-notch facility. He said the indoor practice facility blew him away personally. As far as Beamer, he said he was a very nice guy and he was super genuine. He said Beamer took time to talk with them and such. Coach Adkins gave them a tour of the facilities. He said Coach Adkins was a super friendly guy and a very down-to-earth kind of guy. He said a lot of the coaches stopped and talked to them as well. He said Coach White stopped and talked with them as well. He was surprised that the D coordinator would talk with them since the high prospect is an O lineman. He said Wynn was super great as well. Overall he was super impressed by Beamer and all the coaches. I know this isn't earth-shattering information, but it was interesting to me and I wanted to pass it along to you all. I don't know the name of the O lineman and I didn't ask out of respect for my customer. My customer said he firmly believes that the coaching staff will do all they can to turn it around. He summed it by saying it is definitely a family environment and atmosphere. We have read so many stories from recruits and our insiders about the environment which is so encouraging. At the end of the day if Beamer and his coaches can pull off a winning record my excitement for Gamecock football will be through the roof! Thank you all for letting me share as I do not have any inside information but I appreciate all of you that do share with us. I hope we all can remain positive about the Gamecocks. It has been enjoyable the last month reading all the positive vibes about the football team. Go Gamecocks! Forever to thee!

Man, things could not have lined up better for Arch Manning. He's got the bluest of blue blood QB legacy names. The Mannings are football royalty. Combine that with the NIL changes which will be firmly in place by the time he enrolls. Kid stands to make some serious coin in college. He's about the only high school player you could say is almost household name, simply b/c of his last name. On top of that, he's got as solid a grounding as you could ask for. Between Archie, Peyton and Eli, he'll be getting some good, sound advice on handling it all.

Are there limits on what they can do? I'm seeing a Wheaties or Gatorade commercial featuring Peyton, Eli and Arch.
