So my family goes to Gatlinburg every November and we saw the Gburg “space needle” Saturday night, lit up Vols orange and white. We joked “Its always multi colored, guess they’re proud of UT now”. That was around 6pm. We went to dinner then strolled downtown and saw game unfolding on various bar/restaurant TVs from the sidewalk.

Sunday morning felt so somber. I on the other hand had extra hash browns! It was a memorable weekend! Guess that space needle will be red blue green yellow again next week!

South Carolina women’s soccer (15-4-5) ended its NCAA Tournament run Sunday night, falling to second-seeded Duke (15-4-3) 2-1.

Not a bad year. A slow middle of the season likely cost Carolina a better seed and avoiding a matchup like this until the Elite 8 round, Still can't complain with a Sweet 16 finish and a SEC Tournament Championship.

#1 The crowd was whipped into a frenzy for 60 minutes, reminds me of the peak Spurrier years
#2 Never heard Rocky Top even though I was sitting lower west side. Stadium music did a good job of drowning that bullshit out the few times the UT band did play it
#3 Watching the replay, the UT band is not only easily heard but sounds louder than the the Carolina band. The UT band on the TV broadcast is obnixous to listen to. Why does ESPN have them mic'd up and mixed that high?
#4 I appreciate ESPN showing some of our pregame program, this felt like a 3 hour long advertisement for the Gamecock football program
#5 My biggest and only compliant is that we had that one punt, we should have scored 70.

I use to dismiss older folks who claimed they could not sleep.

At a little over 50 now and I am lucky to get 5 hours a night. Usually fall asleep between 12:30-1am and wake up between 6-6:30am.

This morning I woke at at 5:40am.

This definitely hurts your health and likely shortens anyone’s life.

After last night’s performance, all y’all old heads know what this is! It makes no sense, defies logic and tends to show up in games like last night! Different players, different coaches and yet, it lives inside Willy B!

Black Magic is the “ONLY” way to describe last night’s performance. I’ve been lurking around here for years, never posted. Have family who played for Carolina, my Son attended Carolina, so I KNOW USC.

We seem to win the games we’re suppose to lose or projected to lose, and then lose the games we’re suppose to win!

But here’s what’s certain, when the Black Magic shows up, there is no stopping USC! I mean when it shows up we absolutely dominate and will literally look like a time never seen before!

What a game last night. Consider yourself fortunate if you were in Willy B when the Black Magic showed up!

I’m convinced something is living in our stadium 😝.

SC is right outside the top 25 in the latest AP poll. Clemson moved up to 8. Tenn. dropped to 9.
