Why didn’t Tony Elliott take the Tennessee job a year ago?

Rick Neuheisal said it best yesterday on XM radio when the host asked the same question: “What conference does Virginia play in? What division does Virginia play in? What conference is Tennessee in? Who does Tennessee play every year? Alabama, Georgia, Florida, I don’t see any teams like that on Virginia’s schedule every year.” The same can be said for why us beating Clemson 5 years in a row didn’t mean anything in the bigger picture. Dabdumb can have an off year and go 9-3 on talent alone. Clemson got that talent because they were going to the Orange Bowl and our best bowl was the Citrus during Spurrier’s run. Neuheisal also added, the two most important aspects to being a successful head coach are: “getting great players and controlling your schedule.” Meaning, if I don’t have to play anyone who’s consistently good, or 1 to 2 tough games per year, that’s a great job! He also said, “Radokovich wanted to give the Georgia Tech job back in the day but a search firm nixed that.” Moral of the story, who you play is what makes a job attractive, not what conference you play in.

2 USC/UT Tix West Upper 45 yard line for cheap

I have 2 tickets section 305, row 15, seats 31 and 32 available. I am willing to sell the pair for $50 or best offer. I just want to get two Gamecock fans in the seats and get my Dad most of his $ back for his ticket (I'm sacrificing my ticket for free). I have hard tickets and the USC app won't let me upload them digitally, so I would have to meet the buyer. I'm flexible anytime now until 6pm to meet in a convenient location to deliver the tickets. I live in Lexington so I could meet somewhere like Bush River @ I-20. Please call or text 803-261-3358 if you are interested or want to make an offer.

WBB dominates Clemson (story)

Hey y'all, hope everyone is doing well. I drove down to Clemson last night to cover the WBB rivalry game, and ended up seeing some improved 3-point shooting and the first dunk in program history.

South Carolina advances to the sweet 16

South Carolina women's soccer defeated Harvard this afternoon at Durham, NC 3-2 to advance to the sweet 16. South Carolina's first goal was a gift from the Crimson own goal (OG) at the 2:33 Mark. Cat Barry had a brace today with the first goal being from a nice thread the needle pass that Barry received and connected on for a goal at the 21:45 mark. Later in the first half Barry scored on a corner kick from Harris. Barry was on the outside left side of six yard box and headed the ball in an angle which found a place in the right corner of the goal at the 40:50 mark. Harvard was given a goal by South Carolina scoring an OG during the 80th minute. Harvard score another goal at the 87:03 mark.
