    Clippers: What a choke job.

Can someone give me the cliff notes? Who is actually left in the playoffs?

Anyone have an example of a HC becoming a winner after failing at it for 6 out of 8 years?

I agree with you. It’s why I’m saying that Ed O isn’t necessarily a good example of a great coach. Either that or WM isn’t a great example of a poor coach.

You make some excellent underrated points. I’m not ready to 100% defend WM, but these stats are relevant.

Anyone have an example of a HC becoming a winner after failing at it for 6 out of 8 years?

Actually, I think it’s a poor example. A good coach is a good coach, and a good recruiter is a good recruiter. But what happens if WM goes to LSU instead of Orgeron? What if Orgeron comes to USC instead of LSU? It’s apples to oranges in my opinion...

    OT: Lowes versus Home Depot

Do you work at the corporate office? Seems so based on your knowledge. Anyway, you for got about the EVP of Merchandising at Lowe’s who was an MVP at THD. For what it’s worth, I think THD will continue to compete with Lowe’s (and Amazon). Furthermore, you have to define “pro” because from my...

I wouldn’t exactly call John Rahm inferior competition. In fact, I’d call them equals.

PGA one 59 already today and D. Johnson -11 thru 14

In all fairness, DJ tends to find more reasons to disappoint than exceed. That’s his MO.

    OT: Key West vacation

I’m with you on Marathon. My friends have a place at Key Colony Beach, and it’s the perfect location. Not too far away from Key West, but just far enough away. And there’s so much to enjoy about the Keys that is not in Key West, and Marathon has most of the good things and none of the bad...

Whats your favorite Golf Courses you have played?

I like playing courses that are exclusive. It’s an experience more than anything. Heck, if I wanted to play easy golf, I’d go to the local muni and play the front tees. The brilliance of PV is a site to see, and the stories from the caddies are priceless. Almost all of the exclusive courses...

Whats your favorite Golf Courses you have played?

I’m playing a few of those next year when in Scotland/Ireland, but one that I’m not playing is Old Head, and I’ve heard it’s spectacular. My very first membership was the Oak Hills/Coldstream combo. I was probably a 25 at the time and scared to death every time I played Coldstream.

Whats your favorite Golf Courses you have played?

Fair - but it might be the hardest course in the world to get on, so when you get an invite, you play. That’s said, I am not a single digit. I played to a 15 when I played it and shot 102. Did I mention that I’m not a great bunker player? Every shot on that course was stressful...

Whats your favorite Golf Courses you have played?

That’s quite the list. I live in Atlanta but have yet to get on Peachtree, and would love to. I was invited to Cypress this month or next, but I’m not sure whether I will make it. Jealous of your list. I’ve played PB 4 times, and I tend to agree with you, but if I could play Augusta, I’d...

What is the point of the cardboard cutouts at games?

I assumed it was intended on giving both pitchers and hitters something normal in their line of sight. Baseball has always been sort of a finicky game, but I could see where empty seats might be a distraction for a pitcher or a hitter...

    4.4 million dollars

Much like businesses, this unfortunate time gives folks the opportunity to make decisions that they didn’t have the cajones to make before...but with a reason. Step up or step out. That’s the way I see it at least... For what it’s worth, that’s what real businesses have to do. If you are a...

OT: My 19 yr old kid has late stage cancer

Humanity is so much greater than a message board, or the colors of our teams, or even a virus. It’s heartwarming and promising. ConKrete - hang in there. I’m not a big prayer guy, but I believe that the mind is powerful. Truly believing that you and your family will get through this can...

    Flying During COVID

Chances are you’d get sicker from eating at the Varsity than on a flight...that place is gross. I know it’s iconic in Atlanta, but most Atlantans go nowhere near it...myself included.
