10 years ago today, we lost Kenny McKinley

I will never forget that bowl game v. UH late '06. It was Sidney Rice's last game for us. Everything was about Rice, but I knew we had a double edged sword, and sure enough Kenny made UH pay for focusing on Rice. Such a nice young man and a nice family. Still sad....

    The PAC12 right now.

Yea I know.....I hope he's genuinely embarrassed. A lot of people listen to him.

    Dual Threat vs Pocket Passer

Yea...for the most part. It's easy to confuse some of those plays with what we were calling the wildcat as well as some of the spread type runs with guys crossing in the backfield before the snap. I do know when Shawn got here, we started running a lot of new plays that the OL blocked well on...

    Dual Threat vs Pocket Passer

I give him more credit for integrating all those zone run type plays into his F'nG passing offense. Then again he had to do something.

    Dual Threat vs Pocket Passer

Some of this was poor play design. I still have vid clips of us running plays v SEC teams where we telegraphed exactly where we were going by pulling guards/TEs. The opposing LBs just followed the blockers to the ball carrier. That was just stupid. We have to always have something in place to...

    Gamecocks name Hill QB1

Maybe Muschamp is hoping this year doesn't count against his W-L record as well.

    Gamecocks name Hill QB1

There is this distinct possibility that Hill is better than Hilinski.

Think about it....Steve started coaching in the '80's....look at how much recruiting and hiring of coaches has changed since then. Look at how much it has changed in the past 10 years. It could be said that Steve fell behind because he didn't adapt enough.

    Hillinski vs Hill

I was initially excited about Ryan because he had such a quick release and threw some nice balls. But season long, he was too inconsistent, especially when it counted. I hope he can up his game and become something special....but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets beat out.

Cocks Mt Rushmore - Aja Wilson, John Roche, Michael Roth, and the football one is a tough one.

    Big George.....Carolina plays with a loaded 38.

    Dual Threat vs Pocket Passer

Zone was the wrong word....yea it's called next level. This is where it differs from traditional blocking where the OL stays with the defender until the whistle blows. Zone blocking was designed to alleviate the need for the OL to out-physical the defenders. It allows for smaller OL to be...

    Hillinski vs Hill

That's one perspective.....the NFL sees it as an acquisition. Whatever it takes to win.

Yup....Connor was smarter than his coaches. :)
