    Vince Dooley used to sign multiple hs quarterbacks with the notion they could make a position swicth. Billy Payne of olmypic fame became an all-sec de. George Patton was an all-american dt. There were many others just can't remember.

    Mike Bobo was the oc at UGA before he was hired at CSU. His father was a long time hs coach in Ga., so Bobo has a long background in the southeast.

    We belong to a conference. The conference does what is best for the conference and a good example is the SEC game of the week. K. O. is usually 3:30 no matter what month it is. As mentioned above TV is a big factor but even tv is done in conjunction with the conference. Why do we go to a bowl...

    Sad about Pollard. Hope this kids with medical issues are getting 2nd opinions. Not suggesting

    I saw Pollard play 3 times the year his team won the state championship at the highest level of Ga. prep football. Each game he was the difference maker. Was glad when he signed with us. Wish he could have played his senior year and really excelled. No question this is the right thing to do.

    Pickens broke gamecock hearts. He committed to us then switched to Tn. I think Jim Washburn was his recruiter for us. Stanley Morgan earlier in Dietzel's years switched from us to Tn. Glad it's a new era and hope we get our share in Tn. and N. C.

    That's a real world view. Some posters always think USC is in a vacuum and it's only happening here. Not true. Happening most everywhere from the pros down to the college level. The big spenders get preference.

    True. But we need both and plenty more like them to compete with the top of the SEC. Otherwise the best we can hope for is the middle of the SEC programs and I don't care who the coach is you gotta have top flight talent.

    You are correct. Missing out on top flight prospects like Tank and Myles Murphy hurts. Missing on Burch and a few others on the board just want cut it to compete in the SEC. These are the kids we must have to win big.

    All the ones listed register with me. I'll put up one many will have forgotten. When Carlen game the top of his bucket list was to beat UGA. He finally did it when Ira Hillary caught a long pass from ? to help Carlen reach his goal.
