    Furman takes down Louisville

    I’d take Bob Richey in a heartbeat. He consistently has Furman playing well and isn’t a one-hit wonder. I hope Martin figures it out, but if we don’t make the tournament then I would push hard for Richey. He’d be an excellent hire.

    It’s true they are few and far between, but why shouldn’t that be our expectation? Is it because we promoted Ray to AD and we can’t expect him to have the connections to bring in top coaches? If so, we need to fire Ray and spend as much as it takes to get a top notch AD.

    In 1999 we scored 12 points combined in our first 4 games. We averaged less than 8 ppg for the season. You haven’t seen ugly unless you lived through 98-99.

    Clemson's play off expectations

    They need to lose another game. They lost by 7 to a top 5 team. If they win out they are likely in. Hate it, but that’s probably what would happen. That said, I feel like they have issues and will slip up somewhere. Another loss and they are done.

    I really don’t like a four team pod set-up. It really only benefits the best of the best. We could have a top 15 team and finish 3rd in our pod....which only hurts recruiting for teams like ours that are trying to get better.
