Maybe the most shocking thing about Brian Kelly

I mean multiple sites say the exact same thing if you can be bothered to look. From 2020, but not much changed after that: "Brian Kelly’s salary last fall was $1,665,020, placing him in the bottom half of the FBS at No. 75. Those ahead of him include No. 65 Dino Babers, possibly one more...

Maybe the most shocking thing about Brian Kelly

Right here: "As for Notre Dame's Brian Kelly? The coach who's produced 102 victories in 11 seasons for the Fighting Irish? While Kelly received a contract extension in September 2020, no new numbers were disclosed. His salary of record stands at about $1.8 million -- and that won't get you on...

Maybe the most shocking thing about Brian Kelly

Except it is. He was allowed additional income opportunities with ND's approval, but $2.67 was his base salary. Like I said in a previous post, my source is a lifelong ND fan who recently started a conversation with "What do you think about Shane Beamer making more than Brian Kelly?" I...

Brian Kelly contract rumored to be $15 mil/yr.

Best friend is a huge ND fan and confirmed that is true. I think the conversation started with him telling me Beamer made more than Kelly. I couldn't believe that.

    Cam is a Panther Again

Correct. But what he's saying is the Panthers won't be able to afford to keep Gilmore.

Thought we might want to talk about Aaron Rodgers

I wasn't asking about any virus. I want to know about novel coronaviruses specifically. Viruses like, you know, the common flu. Experts have already told us that COVID-19 is here to stay. Our vaccines are not going to eradicate it, and that's a fact. Heck, 85% of deer tested in Iowa were...

Thought we might want to talk about Aaron Rodgers

Cool story. Now name one novel coronavirus that has been all but eliminated through vaccination. Name just one. Weird how that works, isn't it?

Thought we might want to talk about Aaron Rodgers

"Respect the vaccinated by keeping their distance..." What the hell kind of statement is that? Are the vaccinated their own class now? Do the vaccinated have so little faith in the miracle shot that they fear rubbing elbows with the unclean masses and becoming infected? My kids all received the...

    BRAVES IN THE SERIES!!!

Yes, that seems pretty standard as does $800 for a crown. For reference, a recent exam and cleaning for my 3 kids was $550 total after dental benefits kicked in. That included x-rays, but still, dental work isn't cheap. For me though, a good dentist is like a reputable mechanic. I've seen the...

Clemson is gaining on us in revenue. Fast.

Um, have you seen that facility? Oregon's Hayward Field is like the Mecca of US track and field.

Does a one-game wild card loss count as making the playoffs?

I can agree on all except mid-October. Something just feels right about that fall crispness in the air as the season winds down.

God, Tom Brady, Tom Brady....blah blah blah. Shut the hell up about him! Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and John Elway were all better!

It's this exactly. I'll turn 43 next month, and at this point I've gone from disliking the guy to pulling for him because of his age. I'm in pretty good shape, but I have no misconceptions that I could go 60 minutes in the NFL week after week.

    Lou Holtz started out 0 - 11....

I'm not your average FGF Debbie Downer, but with Holtz and Spurrier you got name recognition. They could walk into a kid's home and say "I've done 'xyz' and this is how I plan to do it again here." Beamer doesn't have that. But what he does have is a solid relationship with guys who came up...

Will the band members be exempt from wearing mask Saturday night?

You joke, but I took my son to swim practice at our local Y last weekend and several instructors were wearing face shields... while submerged in the water. Crazy times we live in, but hey, trust "the science."

Has anyone*s star fallen faster than Tony Elliot?

Have to agree with this. Living in Charlotte and catching a lot of HS football, I can assure you that Shipley is the real deal.
