    Cam Scott

We aren't sure what is going on. All we know is he won't be at Texas. Texas released him from his LOI.

Washington Post feature on Kim Mulkey is out- and a terrific read

This was touted as some explosive article. All it says is she is a driven, rude, not-easy-to-please coach. I suspect she secretly likes it.

    Mulkey is classless

I wasn't saying there aren't some who are that way, I am saying I don't see it as a positive. There are some great statesmen who don't act like that, who aren't rude or dismissive or inflammatory. The most effective ones compromise and earn the respect from across the aisle. Sure the TV likes to...

    Mulkey is classless

I have not seen that as positive in CEOs or politicians.

    The Ban

Whether it will happen or not is a different question. I just think it a good idea and taking it from a foreign enemy government is completely different than from US citizens.

    The Ban

I don't want to ban it, I want to seize it. Nothing about the seizure stops the US from making more comprehensive laws. I am for that too. I don't like China. I don't want them to own something so influential in the US as TikTok. It isn't just a privacy issue. They could never misuse any private...

    Mulkey is classless

Mulkey is aggressive, sarcastic, rude, dismissive, disrespectful, inflammatory. Similar to some of Tom Herman's lesser traits. So a big part of it is really her personality. On top of that, she was defensive of Baylor and dismissive of the sexual assault issues during Briles coaching run.

    The Ban

The US has nationalized industries since WWI when an enemy country is involved. Yes, I don't like it when Americans have something nationalized, and I cheer when we nationalize something of China's. I am baffled you can't see the difference.

    The Ban

Nope. I am for outright seizing their business, their website, and paying a fair appraised value. Then auctioning it off with bidders restricted to US interests. Just like when they put a new road in. If you don't want to sell, they eminent domain you, take it and pay you a fair value. You are...

    The Ban

The proposal I am talking about is to seize the company, pay the shareholders a fair appraised value, then sell it at auction to qualified US bidders. They won't be allowed to not sell to an American buyer, that will be forced. There would be plenty of American enthusiasm to buy TikTok, it gets...

    The Ban

It is not the same at all. There will not be a ban. It will force the sale of TikTok. Seizing companies that our enemies are using is hardly new. We have been doing that since the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917.

    The Ban

We are not talking about that at all. The proposals aren't to eliminate TikTok, they are to end Chinese ownership of it. Basically to seize it, then sell it off to verified American bidders. I would not support a ban either, nor would I think the US courts would allow it.
  14. BattleshipTexas

    The Ban

It is perfectly fine to say they should be doing more for actual tangible data privacy. We all agree with that. However, that is not a reason we shouldn't take ownership of TikTok away. It is something we should do in addition to taking China's ownership of TikTok away. Even if they can buy a...

    Mulkey is classless

She spent her childhood in Tickfaw, Louisiana. Mulkey often wears outfits by Queen of Sparkles Opposing teams nicknamed her Skelator.
  16. BattleshipTexas

    The Ban

It would make a tremendous difference. China couldn't misuse it. An American company might misuse it for criminal purposes, but they don't have the geopolitical motives that China has.
  17. BattleshipTexas

    The Ban

China already bans all internet from the US. Internet censorship and surveillance has been tightly implemented in China that block social websites like Gmail, Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others. The excessive censorship practices of the Great Firewall of China have now...
  18. BattleshipTexas

    The Ban

I would just be more comfortable if there were no connection to China.
