Well Todd Grantham is going to be available...

He had a couple really good seasons at Louisville. At the time I thought he was a good DC, but things have obviously gone down hill for him since then. Florida's defense was pathetic all season. With that offense they would've been a real title contender with merely a competent defense. The...

Everybody begged for a playoff and it ruined the sport!

I don't think too much of UNC's defense, but they would score at least 50 on LSU.

Everybody begged for a playoff and it ruined the sport!

Why are they only favored by 6 on a neutral field over UNC? ND was favored in Chapel Hill by 6 and won by 14. There really isn't any evidence to support your claim other than "cause SEC." They are two very similar teams.. there's no point in pretending that one is vastly superior to the other.

This will be most boring CFB playoff by far

Putting Cincinnati in would've made it more interesting just for the novelty factor, but nothing would've made this playoff more competitive. There was nobody available that would give Bama a game. Swapping out Ohio State for a worse A&M team certainly wouldn't help the competitive balance. We...

Everybody begged for a playoff and it ruined the sport!

ND would be a small favorite over A&M on a neutral field. I'm not making that up, i heard/read it several places. That is info that is actually available. This notion that A&M is vastly superior to ND is pretty funny. They are very similar teams to me - both have plenty of flaws.

    Bama-Notre Dame spread

I saw that Notre Dame would've been a 3 pt favorite over A&M on a neutral field, so the Bama - ND point spread is really of no consequence. Bama would've been a 20+ point favorite over pretty much anyone you could've realistically put in there.

Would you take ND and 25 against Bama ?*

I don't know if Clemson can get pressure either though, and, if they can't, it's probably going to look pretty similar to Clemson-LSU last year. We will probably score more than 25, but Bama will score 40+ if Jones isn't under pressure all night.

Would you take ND and 25 against Bama ?*

ND does have a good defense but I dont know if they are fast enough in the secondary to prevent bama from taking the top off. And you know Mac Jones always has like 10 seconds to throw. If anyone is going to beat Bama they will have to figure out how to actually get pressure on him. I could see...

ND likely just played their way

Clemson's run defense has looked much, much better with Davis and Skalski back in the lineup.

No Way is Ohio State the #4 team in America

This is actually the perfect year to put Cincy in. Bama will beat them by about 40 and then it's never really an issue again going forward. The committee will always be able to point to 2020 and say "we gave you your shot and this is what happened."

ND likely just played their way

Honestly, i feel kind of similarly when i watch A&M. They don't do anything particularly impressive except continually win games by 10-14 points. They aren't knocking anyone's socks off, and I don't see them as a real threat to win a title. FWIW, i think you are basically splitting hairs...

This year’s WR class will be insane on Draft night

Rodgers never has been, but Ross absolutely was his FR year. He wasn't as good last year, but he was playing with a hurt shoulder all year which they later discovered was coming from his neck issue. I think it's unclear just what he will be going forward, but if he's FR year Justyn Ross again...

Noter Dame, you have no business in CFP’s

Do they really? Bama, Florida, and a bunch of bad to mediocre teams. Perhaps your assessment of Vandy, Miss St, Arkansas, SC, LSU, Auburn, and Tenn is a little off this year? 3 of those teams were bad enough that they just fired their coaches, and Pruitt is going to join that group within the...

ND likely just played their way

If there were anyone truly deserving behind them I would be inclined to agree with you, but A&M lost to Bama by 28 which is pretty much the exact same argument you are trying to use against ND. I think beating Clemson once (even if Clemson was missing a bunch of starters) is going to carry more...

Dabo's comments on the hiring of Shane Beamer

We didn't just "magically" start getting those guys though. It was a very slow build that started over a decade ago. This wasn't a Hugh Freeze situation where he took the Ole Miss job and then nearly signed the #1 class in the country a year or two later. Go back and look at both Clemson's...

I say, "keep the staff add HC Beamer"...

Gene Chizik? Oh my lord. BTW, how much "SEC experience" did Urban have when he took over Florida in 2005? Zippo. He went from coaching in the Mountain West to winning a national title two years later. Good coaches are good coaches and will succeed in any league. They just aren't easy to find...

    We're #3?

Possibly. The line on that game would be closer to 10-14 than 21 though.

    We're #3?

SP+ currently likes the Gamecocks by about 5 over the Chants on a neutral field, and FPI favors SCar by about a TD.
