This is the fault of morons Goodell, Silver, Emmert, etc. We watch sports to get away from politics, not to be further immersed in it.

It's the nickname of a man who's never been to jail. Do you think as lowly of Kip Bouknight, Scott Barber, and Peter Bauer because they were nicknamed the "Killer B's?"

There are people doing this too but I wish there were more. More people making active pleas that violence is an unacceptable form of protest. Killer Mike very powerfully did this in Atlanta earlier this summer.

They're making the conscious decision to sacrifice some of their audience/fan base/addressable market opportunity to say something they believe in. Taking a stand with eyes wide open, if you will. Are these actions directly contributing to loss of ratings and fans? I have no doubt. I don't...

Prominent athletes have a platform larger than most of us ever will have. Good on them for using it to bring attention to causes of import. I think it's disrespectful to tell someone to "shut up and play" or "shut up and sing." Michael Roth has said for a long time, "baseball is what I do, not...

I was at that game. Gamecocks would have beat anyone in the country that night. Raining threes.

Anyone besides me like paper vs. mobile tickets

I despise paper tickets. Waste of paper. Waste of resources either mailing them to you or printing them out at home. Virtually everyone has their smartphone on them at all times. Whether it's a $10 rock show at my local punk rock club or the SECCG in Atlanta, the easiest, most convenient, most...

Cincinnati wrong to release Brennaman for using the wrong word.

I agree with your implication that "cancel culture" and "presumption of guilt" are major problems in the zeitgeist - strongly agree. But I don't think this is a small mis-step. I think this is a clear bad faith error. I've had plenty members of my teams say questionable things over the years...

Cincinnati wrong to release Brennaman for using the wrong word.

This is correct. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say there is not a SINGLE keyboard algorithm out there that would autocorrect any word to the n-word unless the machine learning component learns it directly from the user's habits. In other, words, if it auto-corrected to that word then...

Cincinnati wrong to release Brennaman for using the wrong word.

Who's "soft" in this situation is anyone not wanting to take accountability for an unequivocal mistake of bad faith. To equate to the football field, this was not an "effort til the echo of the whistle personal foul," but an "intentional cheap shot personal foul."

Cincinnati wrong to release Brennaman for using the wrong word.

Cincy not wrong. The man used a clearly understood slur that is notoriously associated with hate speech and hate crimes. This is unacceptable at any level, but especially for a senior leadership position. And yes, being able to call MLB games means you are accomplished to the point of being...

    LSU Sexual Assaults

Equating LSU to Baylor is a major stretch at this point based on what's known. But the potential "just the tip" of the iceberg is ugly.

The teams that compete for championships have double the number of 4 and 5 stars that we do. ~50% blue chip ratio.

Who on here has a blackstone grill

Love the BGE. Had one for 8 years; got bored and wanted something new - so sold it. Have the PK360 now and absolutely love it. Happy with the switch. Bought the BGE for $800 in 2011 and sold it for $800 in 2019 :)
