Looking at the schedule, and if we play, I'm thinking we'd be lucky to go...

Seems to me that USC is typically good for beating 3 OOC stiffs, mizzou, vandy. I would predict at least one upset (UGA? UF? UT? LSU?). Haven't won in Lexington since 2012 and obviously the A&M / Clemson streaks persist. So, the best bet seems to be 6-6. However, IMO, the wild card this...

    Must. Beat. Kentucky.

What kind of crowd is expected for Saturday night? Does Gamecock nation show up in large numbers for a night game in an effort to finally beat UK or is apathy setting in?

    LOL.....UK and us

Not true. If you had been in the stadium last night, you would know that it isn't true.

We have better facilities & better talent than UK, UVA and UNC.

You're being disingenuous. There is nothing in USC history that would support your arrogance. If USC has a better history than UK in football, then it's not by much (and that point is certainly debatable).

Kentucky's current recruiting class is ahead of ours.

No argument that USC is heading upward (or at least stable). but, UK is not heading the other way. This year's recruiting class will be the highest ranked class in school history. I don't expect a repeat of 10 wins, but the schedule is charmin soft, so I wouldn't be surprised at at least 8...

This weird aberration of Kentucky beating us needs to come to an end

Good post. My only addition is that USC also owned UK during the HOltz era. UK drubbed him pretty good in the first miserable year of the Holtz regime, but Holtz never lost to UK again despite some close shaves (a memorable one is when UK led a miserable game 7-6 in Lexington for most of the...

This weird aberration of Kentucky beating us needs to come to an end

Agreed. It's odd to UK's program that South Carolina and Tennessee get so much preseason love nearly every year while UK either consistently wins the head-to-head (USC) or finishes higher in the standings (UT) more often than not. Looks to be more of the same this year with USC predicted to...

This weird aberration of Kentucky beating us needs to come to an end

When is the last time you were at UK? UK has top 15 facilities nationally. This isn't fanboy talk, it's objectively true. I know South Carolina has great facilities too, but UK's now compete with anyone.

This weird aberration of Kentucky beating us needs to come to an end

UK's classes are not averaging mid 30s over last five years. They're averaging in the high 20s (not that I feel that makes a gigantic difference). But, I agree that USC recruiting rankings are almost always a bit higher than UK. I tend to think your view of UK in football is similar to the...

This weird aberration of Kentucky beating us needs to come to an end

You said "compare the recruiting and the facilities". You didn't say "compare the recruiting and seating capacity". UK facilities are excellent. You're entitled to your opinion as a fan, but the facts don't suggest that South Carolina should be beating "Kensucky" most of the time. The...

This weird aberration of Kentucky beating us needs to come to an end

I'm surprised at the lack of football knowledge here. I get the fanbase getting mad about losing to KY, b/c USC generally does average better recruiting rankings (if one believes in the star systems that the services use) and also I know that UK is not a good football brand. But, people here...

Benny Snell is a class act!

If all he cared about was himself and the record, he could have shut it down. He didn't and he carried UK to a victory. He literally won the game.
  13. W

    KY is good

UK loses a lot after this year, but have a lot of good OL and DL returning. Losing Snell and Allen will hurt. I would also assume that QB improves with experience. I would expect UK to take a step back (assuming around 9 wins this year), but doubt it's a fall off of a cliff.

    Is the SEC back?

I don't think it ever went away. It's true that Florida and Tennessee are not up to historical standards (will UT ever be again?), but other teams like LSU and Kentucky are much better than expected and the bottom of the conference is mostly decent (honorable mention to Arkansas and UT that...

Shut down Benny Snell - Kentucky will fall

As a UK fan, the thing that concerns me most is Bentley. UK offense will get some rushing yards, but we're not a scoring juggernaut. Franks and Fitzgerald are both dicey as passers, so Bentley will be the best passing QB we have seen this year. I'm not sold on Bentley as a superstar, but he...

Best Places to Park/Tailgate as USC fan in Lexington

Agreed, try Nicholasville Rd, especially if you're getting to the stadium early. If not, some of the side streets off of Nicholasville will sometimes have street parking.

Was Miss St overrated? Or is UK a true top 15 team?

Not sure why some of my fellow UK fans come here and get offended that you guys expect to win on saturday. Probably the same guys who got pissed off that a few MSU fans came to our board and expected to win. I expect a very tough game. I think UK SHOULD win, but it's probably closer to a...
