Since this morning's report identifying Christian Robinson as a candidate to watch in South Carolina's search for another defensive assistant, GamecockCentral.com has learned of another name connected to the opening.
Longtime Gamecock football recruiting followers may remember the name Sterling Lucas out of Orangeburg-Wilkinson. He signed with NC State and played four seasons in Raleigh. He then became a graduate assistant at NC State before moving onto the NFL in a variety of on and off field roles with the Baltimore Ravens. This past season was Sterling's first with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an assistant defensive line coach.
We're told he's another one to watch.
