Prisma Health orthopedics (I think) has an ad on the flagship station of the Gamecocks. It starts off by saying, “We provide care for Clemson University and UofSC…”. They let Clemson be named first and couldn’t even say “University of South Carolina.” I know it is kind of knit picking, but come on, can we not even get our advertisers to say the name of our university?

It’s not nit picking, somebody needs to rethink that! Probably someone on both bot’s that came up with that crap!!

People in the state don't refer to us University of South Carolina in normal conversation...too cumbersome and everyone in the state knows who "UofSC" is (even though I still just say USC). I'm sure most people just call us "USC" as I still do. I'd prefer to be the last name people here before the commercial ends.

Aren't they primarily out of Greenville? When a headhunter firm contacted me about a corporate counsel position with them, the position would have been in Greenville.

I could be wrong but I would assume before an organization like this could use the school in advertising they would need to get sign-off from the school's media/PR folks. If that process happens, they would stipulate how the school is named.

Have you noticed the FarmRich ads on the SEC Network lately?

On one of the UK boards we had been discussing the possibility (likelihood) that nationally mass quantities of season tix holders would be giving up their seats after the COVID season.

Here is an ad not only targeting Stay-at-Home fans. But, encouraging them to give up their seats and STAY at home.

FarmRich Appetizers

It wasn't this particular ad. But, another FarmRich ad that also was tempting fans to stay home that I saw on the SEC Network. Think any SEC ADs are raising hell about this?

I believe they were at one time. They may have moved to Columbia since they took over everything here. I know that they have "half" the Colonial Life building on Colonial Drive.

Yes, they do have to get permission.

All this is moot, cause every time I hear the women’s voice I turn the sound down anyway!

Prisma Health System is Basically Greenville Health System (GHS), which has acquired numerous health companies in the upstate. It acquired Palmetto Health System in what was called a merger, but make no doubt, GHS runs the show. GHS was and is a huge Clemson sponsor so that school will always be dominant in advertising.

Well, the UofSC blame lands back home. I still can’t believe that’s the official brand now - on purpose. By choice....
Like I've said before, I will forever find it hard to believe that passed and was selected by the test audiences. So far, the nicest thing I've heard anyone say about it is that they don't hate it. 😒

Well I think the obvious answer is to not use them as our sponsor
