Can someone please tell me who that lone player on the poster is? It appears to be # 15. There is not a # 15 on the current roster.

Yes - it's not a real player. My guess is that with all of the lawsuits and attention about institutions generating revenue from college athletes you will see more of this sort of thing everywhere. Generic stuff. Don't be surprised if the jerseys that are made available in the futre are that of the year or of a number that doesn't belong to anyone .... so no more Clowney jerseys while such a player is here. It's the world we live in now. My bet is that more schools will be doing this if they're not already.

I know Texas A&M is only selling jerseys now with the number 12 for the 12th man. That's it.

Could it possibly be that Coach Spurrier doesn't want too much attention being placed on photo shoots, posters, 80 feet banners of the head coach, black jersey's, battle grey jerseys, black outs, white outs, and all the other hoopla, and would prefer the team put the focus back on football? They even went so far as to have a video showing how they got all of the shots on last years poster. If the result is going to be a fictional character on a poster with the schedule....who cares. I didn't get it this year. I like to look back on all the previous posters because of the players and the nostalgic look to it, not the schedule they played that year. I can find that information on the web.

I don't know the motivation, probably the O'Bannon case, but they achieved their goal making the player nondescript. To me it looks like Darth Vader put on a helmet. Or maybe the Alien given those teeth.
