I think the team has simply given up. Llate in the game Kmart came up to bat, swung on the 1st pitch which was a pop fly for an easy out, and then walked back to the dugout with his head down. Someone in the dugout reached out to fist bump KM, but KM never even raised his head up. TOTAL dejection.
