Bad. No doubt about it. Still better season than most thought it would be.

Considering last year we only won two that is an improvement

We sucked.
Many of our wins came down to our opponents giving the games away on their last possessions.
Regardless, I think Beamer did well in his first year - a winning regular season, some wins over some big name programs, and a bowl berth.
How'd you guys finish last year? I'd say that's a helluva an improvement in only one year.
You guys really oughtta give him a couple of recruiting cycles before you start calling for his head.
Clemson didn't become a playoff team overnight, it took years. And even along the way we still took an asswhooping every now and then (including five from you).

That's how we started our "rise": wins over big name programs.
Yes, we still took some beat downs, but - believe it or not - you need those to become an elite program.
They keep you honest (with yourself), they keep you "hungry", and they force you to continue to get better and not get lazy by riding a few "signature wins" here and there.
That looks remarkably like what Beamer has done for you this year.
Can anyone advance a credible idea as to whom among the teams we could reasonably expect to meet in a bowl might we expect to beat?
If Beamer wants to give himself a reasonable chance of not winding up on the ash heap of aspiring head coaches, he will need to make changes at both these positions.

I can't imagine you'd draw a bowl team with a stonger D than those two.

If you're not a BB school, the ACC is useless.
Win the ACC conference championship in BB, everyone holds you in high regard. You get high-seed spots in the brackets and no one questions it.

You can even go on to win the CFB NC, still no one gives a sh!t you won the ACC in FB.
The ACC would be throwing favors (and $$) your way to have your BB programs right now.

I knew SC was not good, but to get beaten this badly by a mediocre ACC team is disgraceful!! Oh well it happened!! The Cocks let the whole conference down!!
