A few positives from the game today.

Yes I know this opens up to the usual juvenile responses but on the serious side.
Our DL looked very good today. They looked like they can compete in the SEC. I liked the DB's even tho they had a couple busts. They looked good. Rocket Sanders was as good as advertised IMO. I just wish we had coaches that are not going to get him killed running up the middle 9000 times a game. Anything else you guys notice that is positive? We have the negative covered in other threads.

I’m positive we struggled to beat non SEC team. Our d look good with pass rush against a bad team. I’m positive we can’t throw. I’m positive we look like a Paul Johnson ga tech offense

I think the positive thing you can say is that it's a win. No matter how badly we played, we are 1-0.

I also think it's a positive how composed Sellers looked. I don't think he played QB well today, but he showed he can handle the job. We just have to find out if he can do the job. Coaching coaching coaching time time time.
The fans were a positive. No surprise there but man our fans looked fantastic on TV. Well done Gamecock fans!

Any defense with a pulse is going to stack the box because of Sellers running ability and make him pass. Hopefully we can get the passing game going but that was a rough first game.

Edge rusher are freaky fast. Sanders showed a lot of heart and emotion when the O line wouldn't block for him. Norris is a big solid QB and can run the ball but not to good at down field passing. I don't see my 5 win prediction playing out but there's plenty of time to grow during the season.

In terms of his passing game, Sanders seems to be playing too tight and overly concerned about turning the ball over. His natural instinct is obviously to run. However, he doesn't seem to possess the body control to throw on the run with good accuracy at this point (ala Rattler.)

It's too bad the receivers were missing balls early b/c that might have helped his confidence. The long ball was perfect. The high throw to Harbor could have been caught...etc. Growing pains of a new QB with a bunch of new receivers.

Agreed. It was opening game, poor offensive performance BUT I would take a 1point win vs South Pointe HS vs a loss to a top ten team!!

Boy! Tough assignment! Three major positives (I hope).

1}. I didn't see our DL sucking wind, with their hands on their hips. It was an oven down on the playing field and perhaps the lightning delay saved our butts but hopefully we are in condition.

2,) WE DIDN"T QUIT!!! ODU could have pulled off the upset 3 or 4 times. In the past ... we'd quit ... then we lost. I honestly did not expect us to pull off the victory once ODU tied the score. I saw a loss in O.T. WE DIDN"T QUIT!!!

3.) We are the LUCKIEST SONS-OF-BITCHES in college football. Can you even imagine what today would be like had we lost??? One of my roommates in and after college always said ... "I'd rather be Lucky than Good." Carolina PROVED his preference yesterday.
