According to a source, last night’s practice was the best of the week so far. Chris Smelley threw the ball well and it was a good night for the receivers as a whole. The offense continues to look crisp and fast-paced.
They also spent a lot of time working on special teams, and I, personally, think they could play a big role in tomorrow night’s game.
From talking to multiple people, the team is really excited about the game for many reasons and the practices this week have been very lively and evenly matched.
Interestingly, word from the other side is the Kentucky secondary believes they are better prepared for this game because, in their opinion, Kentucky has a better receiver corp than Carolina. The fact that they practice against their receivers in practice will make them more than prepared for Carolina’s “weaker” receivers. It will be interesting to watch that play out.
