After this game tonight....

Whatever happens the rest of the year this season is a good one. this is why you play the game! that win is huge for recruiting and a much better bowl
go cocks!
A "much" better bowl depends on next Saturday. This was a monumentally enjoyable win. This season is yet to be defined. Indicators are better than they were a week ago.

... the taters will have to come up with a new game plan. And they only have one week to do it.

I love your optimism but a poor showing Saturday will ruin a lot of the momentum. Beat Clemson and a good season becomes a chance for a top 15 finish. Lose to Clemson and even a bowl win and we won’t crack the top 25.

I can’t really get into bowl games like I used to. Too many opt outs. No one will opt out of the Clemson game. We can open doors to a lot more recruits both in state and around the country with a win against Clemson. I could argue it’s even more important than the Tennessee game.

I disagree ben...we are probably going to the gator bowl which is a very good bowl we will have very minimal opt outs for that game. we already have done better than everybody predicted. pre season what did you think the record would be?

The media picked us to go 5-7 and finish 5th in the east. Looking at 7-5 or even 8-4 looks great especially considering the schedule we played this year.

Probably the Gator either win or lose Saturday. They want us and we want them. The worst we will do is the Music City bowl

I mean we were 6-6 in the regular season last year. I wouldn’t say we’ve done better than everyone predicted. So far we’re one game better than last year. Now win the next one and I’ll tend to agree a lot more with that statement. Outside of Tennessee, I think every win we had was expected. Maybe people thought the Aggies would be better. But a lot of people had us beating Missouri too.

USC at Kentucky was not an expected win. Texas A&M has never been an expected win!!

Depends on what your expectations of the program are. Kentucky and Missouri are programs we have to beat consistently to realistically get to the upper tier of the conference. No disrespect to Kentucky. Stoops has done a great job. You’ve been on this board long enough to witness the meltdowns when we lose either of those two.

As for the Aggies, we’ve played them close. At some point we were going to beat them. Regardless, we’re literally one game off of last years record. It’s not like 7 wins is shocking the world or anything. Heck if we lose to Clemson and the bowl game we will literally have the same exact record as last season.

SC was almost a double digit dog in Lexington, A&M was favored coming in. (Cocks had never beaten them). Am I happy with this season?? It all depends on one game!! This one. A win and this is a great season, a loss at it is about as I suspected.
