AJC does their part to keep UGA near the top

Does anyone ever notice the difference the Atlanta Journal Constitution shows between Georgia and Georgia Tech? I was just over at the AJC site and they carried 22 favorable Georgia stories (not counting three they ran twice) to only 7 for Georgia Tech. I can't help but feel for the Yellow Jackets being shunned in favor of UGA over and over again. You might think that Georgia Tech was located somewhere other than Atlanta if you count just favorable articles on their sports web site. We seldom have anything bad happen at USC that the State newspaper isn't the first in line to report on but they don't run all of these shiny happy Clemmons stories on a 3 to 1 basis like the AJC. The way they talk everybody in college football is dying to commit to Georgia except some local talent that wants to enroll at Stanford or Alabama.

Dude, welcome to reality! Really they're the dawg SHITTE home paper. Thing is, the rest of the papers (and fan bases) in THE SEC have known such for decades. IOW's, every time I read that paper, I Smell Dawg Shit!!!

I don't know where you live but you obviously don't understand this market. Ga Tech is dwarfed by UGA fans and alumni here in this city. (For that matter, they're dwarfed by Auburn fans and alumni too.) In an age of dying newspapers and limited resources you play to the market. You wouldn't expect a bunch of Furman articles in the State would you? That's essentially what Tech is in the scheme of things. They're kind of fortunate to get the attention they do get. This is a UGA, pro sports town. Used to be different, I've been here when it wasn't, but that's the way it is now.

I can't speak to the State bias. Complaints about it though seem to ring the same year after year.
