Correct me if I'm wrong...

Didn't Clemson kick our tails in Columbia 18-4 during our first run towards the National Championship year???

It's baseball...

And took two out of three against us???

Exactly guys, in 2010 they beat us 16-7 in the rubber game to take the series in March, than of course we swept them in June in Omaha on our way to our first CWS title.

Fast forward to 2014, we swept them in March and were eliminated on our home field regional in June. The take home point here is that your season is defined by what you do in May and June, not February and March.

Thanks Batgirl, and as I recall, we lost a road series to East Carolina early that season too, and Ray Tanner held court a little with the team on the bus trip back from Greenville, NC . We hit our stride when the SEC schedule started and never looked back.

If Holbrook loses the series or God forbid gets sweep by quempsum the boo birds will be out in full force. There are a lot of long time supports of USC college baseball that are on fence with Holbrook before this season ever started.

The 2010 Clemson team may have beat us worse during the season but they almost made it to the finals in Omaha if not for us. To get whipped by them this year when they already lost a series to West Virginia is frustrating to say the least.

The usual pumpers and excuse makers are out early. Starting to sound like the Taters with all these history lessons.

I agree we should go 60 something and 0. Every year period.

It's just hard to understand why the realists, i.e. surrender monkeys, always give up after losing one game of a 3 game series. Starting to sound like the French with all these white flags.

Oh yeah...here we go. Mr. doom and gloom himself, good ole Agnostic! If we aren't always perfect. then we are just plain sorry. Sorry coach, sorry players. Well, seems like even you are out early!

He's already vowed not to attend football games because Lorenzo Ward is still on staff.
