Sounds good but I really don't care about the NBA. If the NCAA cared about the players, they probably would do something. Why 3 years? Why not graduate first? Oh, some basketball players are disadvantaged and probably shouldn't be in any college in the first place?

Good article. One-and-done's days are numbered I do believe, but it's not a big priority to get rid of it. There is not going to be any immediate change to it. Maybe in a couple of years.

I loved watching the NBA as a kid. Back during the days of Bob Lanier, Jerry West, John Havlicek, and Wilt Chamberlain I listened on the radio (and probably ruined my hearing) back then because few games were ever telecast on TV, all we had was AM with 70% static and pops.
Anyway, I lost interest when the league began to take on a criminal element. The number of players with police records really took off around 2000 or so. I don't look for the NBA players association to lift a finger because they are full of non graduates themselves. Spencer Haywood was the beginning of the end for college graduates playing pro ball. I don't hear much about the one and doners after they injure themselves playing except where they are bankrupt.

I don't see that much as taking advantage of a rule as taking advantage of their success in putting a bunch of players in the NBA. It's not like you take away this rule and they stop signing NBA talent.
