Hated hearing our opponent's announcers offer excuses Kingston gave them on why we struggle so much. Poor ole us. That's when you know you have hit rock bottom.
He probably is preparing his excuse for next year already. Again, pitching could be better next year, but I don't see evidence where his offense philosophy is working.

More noise on our pitching injuries today. Guess we'll hear about it every game the rest of the year. You would think we are missing 3 or more of the best pitchers in baseball and we would be doing some serious winning no matter how we hit.
Doesn't matter if Greg Maddux in his prime is pitching for us. Our guys just can't hit. Belk is about the only good hitter we have.
Probably some potential on the roster, I'm not certain our HC can fix it however.
Thank goodness Belk knew how to hit and had the experience to go with it before he got here. Our young guys have some developing to do if they stick around. Whatever they do in the summer, I hope it sticks.
All the freshman's swings are too big imo. I can only believe that is what Kingston was looking for when he recruited them. Will he make big changes to a swing he saw something in? I doubt it but I hope I'm wrong for their sake.
We should be better at getting these guys ready for MLB than we are. A lot better. If we were better, our wins would take care of themselves. Sad we've gotten so far away from that.
Kingston has had every opportunity to put an impressive team on the field that is half way consistent.
He's failed at that every step of the way.

EXACTLY! Every time Braswell swings, he comes out of his shoes, like he's trying to hit 800' grand slams. Regardless of the count or situation. That's plain bad hitting.
Lately he has gone right field more often. But your point is valid.
Hornung, Stone and LeCroy all have similar issues. Agreed tho, not as bad as Braswell's. If they could just get him to settle down some, that would be a good first step. Doesnt even look like an effort has been made to do that tho. With his athleticism, I'd hate to see him end up getting picked on the last day of the draft when he becomes eligible. That happens too much here. Heck, we got a 5th year meat of the lineup hitter that went undrafted. That's what I mean when I say these guys deserve better than that.
