another hurricane. Will taters use their resources

They will send a truck of water somewhere and write a press release with Dabo and players helping out.

Gotta hate it for the players that have family being affected with evacuations. Etc.

Im sure players had families affected with flooding when they decided to move their game to LSU. Its the pot calling the kettle black. If SC thought they could get their game in, they would too.

Even Furman cancelled its game, so as not to use state resources that are needed elsewhere. Clemson is turning a blind eye.

if you can play the game and get everyone involved to and from the game safely, then you play the game. SC did that in 2015 by moving the game to LSU. SC played a home game the day after Hugo made landfall, as did CU. Even The Citadel played at Navy the day after Hugo hit and played the next 2 "home" games at Williams Brice because our home stadium was damaged. CU simply moved the kick off time to provide a greater window of safe travel. Even another thread on this board is discussing suggestions on how the SC game could be played. Furman cancelled because of the concerns of opponent travel from NY not because of "state resources." SC cancelled out of concern with safety of the fans, players and personnel, not because of "state resources."

How about law enforcement resources? Do those count?
the majority of law enforcement is provided by "off-duty" Anderson, Oconee, Pickens even Greenville and Spartanburg Co agencies. Meaning they work the games on their days off and are paid by the university. The HP that are needed in the lower part of the state will be in the lower part of the state.

If I remember correctly, the weekend Columbia was hit by the huge storm Clemson didn’t receive any of the normal state troopers that get for the game. All of the troopers were helping the victims. The role was filled by local Pickens county police. Who wouldn’t be in the Columbia area anyways.

You missed Tanner's statement. Tanner knew we could get the game in but cancelled it in deference to the first responders and the impact the traffic may have on those evacuating. Same with Furman. Clemson just does not care, period.

Do those counties not send first responders? If they don't, it's a lot different than those in the lowcountry who have sent help even out of state.

"Care" is an emotion and evacuation plans should already be implemented, as well as acted upon by anyone who is planning to do it.

The urine being being released in this thread will have a torrential flow exceeding that of all the rivers and streams swollen by Florence.

Well, the tarradiddle information being spread by quempsum fans justifying why the taters are playing the game Saturday will more than triple any flooding caused by Florence.

No it's not. USC has cancelled their game at the risk of losing 10s of millions of dollars.

Why is quempsum the only college in NC or SC not to cancel or move up their game a day or more to avoid a potential disaster. Ga. Southern is not that far from taterland, they could have easily moved the game to Thursday night.

Let me guess.. you're non-college educated and eat at least 4 meals a week at a local gas station ?

Turn off Fox News and come back to reality.

Let me guess you are a non-college educated person that eats wherever food stamps are accepted. Turn off CNN and get at least some basic level of education.

All information from every side of this matter will be lost on me because I don't care whether they play or not.

Give Dabo some credit. He makes the descisions and has every resource he needs behind him. Big time programs care about sports first. No different then mich st, penn st. , Ohio st . All their trouble came from putting sports above everything else. Some schools don’t care about who else pays for their greediness.
