I had wondered that and asked thoughts on another thread. We are deep at running back but need depth at LB and safety. Just not sure of his abilities at those positions.

Do not know what to expect out of him. He has all the talent in the world, but he has never put it together. I heard a scout say of him a year ago, "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane". As a walk on, he is no risk, so let's see if Boom can pull the Tarzan out

I think a lot of his future success may depend on that knee of his. If he does fall into the category of "look like Tarzan, plays like Jane", that will come to light early and you will probably see him transfer to some 1AA school for playing time. But if that isn't the case, it all depends on the knee
