I would disagree...
I like Stroman's energy and ball handling/passing skills and think he is going to be a very good player.
That being said, he is going to HAVE to improve his shooting. I'm not sure that is going to happen.
He also releases the ball below his head, like a junior high school kid that can't get the ball to the rim... which is probably where it started (If we'd keep the youngsters on lower rims, use smaller balls, or don't let them shoot threes till they are older and stronger they would not end up with bad habits).
This is not the reason he is a poor shooter, but with the speed of the college game it is difficult to get a shot off from that position.
That being said, he IS a poor shooter on top of that. He shoots 12% from 3 point and 27% from the field.
As far as turnovers, his A/T ratio is not terrible at 1.68. I like to see it at least 2.0, which is exactly what Ty Johnson's is.
The biggest difference, though, and the reason Ty should stay our point guard is at the free throw line. A good point guard hasto be able to make free throws. Ty leads the team at 85%, while Stroman struggles at 61%.
