punt returner? One of my favorite Gamecock moments that had a lot of us laughing.
Don't remember that specifically, but he was always first down the field. Ike Crofoot.i think he was #29.
Yeah he hustled all the time! I remember that play where the punt returner waved for a fair catch and Crowfoot didn’t see it. He cleaned that boy’s clock. It still makes me laugh. Dude was all heart!
When did he play? I don't remember him off the top of my head.
That was the Fla or UT game. I think. Seems like I remember orange being involved.
I remember one year, I think against Florida, where the lineman clobbered him after the snap, resulting in the only "roughing the snapper" that I've ever seen.
Loved watching him play! All hustle, all out, all the time!
I believe his family and the Spurriers neighbors in Florida.
His family was Holtz neighbor. Was offered as a walk on but earned a scholarship later. I believe he started all four years as long snapper and ended up being the second most reliable player on the field, behind Sidney Rice. I believe he was on the team from 02-05 (give or take a year).
