I'm happy his roller coaster ride of a recruitment is over. It is pretty unbelievable that we have been recruiting him for 3 years now and lsu comes in and switches him in a matter of weeks. But nonetheless good luck to him and his future career.
Saw he pulled best out of five out of a hat to decide. He might be able to play football, but I'm not too disappointed considering his intangibles, or perceived lack of them.
Kids place too much emphasis on slick talking used car salesman type. Coaches like Ogeron and not enough on relationships with players and school. It's a shame they only listen to fast talking coaches and not to academic counsellors and the feeling they get while on campus. They need to realize that every coach says they put the most guys in the pros and have a great family atmosphere. Guess they can tell all about that family atmosphere in the staged 3 days they are there on their recruiting trip. Key only spent 2 - 3 days in Baton Rouge but came away with a great feel for LSU versus the many, many times he was in Columbia. Obviously he bought into the crap Ogeron sold like he did under scum bags he coached under like Pete Carrol and Lane Kiffin.
The problem with tonight is based on his ability to carry on a conversation, do you think he didn't understand that you pick a hat, not a name of a school from a hat?
