to get as much help as possible? Lawing is an example of a proven guy just sitting around. Find ways to make the team better. Special assistant? Co defensive coordinator? As a head coach you can not just chalk all those yards given up to youth and injuries. What are the most yards given up by a SC defense in a season the last 20 years? This one has to be getting close.
I’m just saying you can’t just stand pat and wait for injuries to heal and guys to have birthdays. Get as much help as you can.
