Local news reporters in Charleston were scrambling to find anything that would look like flooding. Had to settle on water rushing into a drain that actually appeared to be working. Yes, you heard it here first... we had a working drain.
So do I and it rained twice.I live in Lexington. It didn't.
I live in Antreville. It rained like a sonofaboosh here. 2.5 inches in about 2 hours. I am thankful for all of the state that it didn’t wreck homes and lives like these storms have done in the past.I live in Charleston. It rained.
We rode it out on Sunset Beach, one of the only places that didn't have a mandatory or voluntary evacuation. I wasn't trying to be dumb or anything; I grew up close to the SC coast and lived through Hugo among other storms. I really didnt think this one would be bad, and other than some flooding near the bridge which didn't affect any property, it really was a non-event. Crazy that just a few miles up the road in OIB they got hit so hard.Isaias actually wasn't that bad where I am, but when Cantore shows up, it's time to evacuate.
