Just finished reading the article about the AU players harassing a female vet, and the comments after the article (and a few other places I've looked) have the majority of AU fans making excuses. A few just come right out and say it's a non-story. While the majority are saying it's not a non-story, but are tip toeing around the issue. Comments such as: "players were just flirting, and she copped an attitude", "she wants $", "they didn't know she was a vet", "she was never deployed, but was sexually assaulted", (like that makes it better) "she's not a real vet," "the only reason this is an issue is because they called her a b****," "she must be a closet Bama fan."
It truly is disgusting. At least Gus Malzhan has issued an apology, and says the players want to. Unfortunately, the female vet will probably have to transfer because the AU zealots are going to make her life hell on campus. Also, expect this story to be quickly swept under the rug.
