Baseball game vs College of Charleston at Fireflies park

Not really seeing the point or desirability of playing a game in Columbia away from our own ballpark.

OT, but are they any closer to razing the old Capital City Park in order to put something new on that real estate?

I don't see any point in this. If anything it helps Holbrook more than it helps us because GCC ticket distribution changes.

We really don't need to make any big deal out of this game. It's CofC a solid baseball program that has beaten us before, but doesn't need to be some sort of unique rivalry.

Would you rather play a neutral site game in Charleston at the Riverdogs stadium or in Columbia? Also drink beer, and a good gesture for community relationships, but would not want to do that this more than once a year.
Might also lead to having multi team tournament in Columbia with two quality sites to play games

I bet the players enjoy it, gives many of them a taste of the type of stadium where they will be playing in their futures. Plus it's a great place to watch a game. Like someone said earlier hopefully it could lead to it hosting something bigger

We gonna have a brand new park in North Augusta. Gamecocks come on down!!!
