My favorite cheer during my USC years of 1968-1972. The Blue Devils were absolutely detested by Gamecock fans.
Need to cut down on those careless ass turnovers. Should be up by more than 10 points

Cooke not having her best game, to say the least, but those were a couple of well-timed buckets that we needed.

Left a lot of points at the Ft line tonight, and Coach Staley seemed to allow Zia to try to shoot herself out of her slump, but it didn't work. Thank goodness we're such a strong rebounding team: the unit of Boston, Cardoso, Beal, Amihere, and Saxton that was out there at times is just a suffocating team on the boards.
Overall, we weren't shooting too badly from the perimeter against this Duke zone. Zia sort of anchored down the offense tonight with her shooting struggles. But we obviously were hurting without a legit PG to handle the ball for us, and Duke took advantage of that....
Survive and advance. Another top 25 opponent on the road. Another win for the Gamecocks. I was afraid that this could be a "trap" game between Maryland and Stanford, and being on the road in the middle of the week. But we muddled through it. Now bring on them mossy Trees!!!

A win is a win, but if we don't clean it up this will come in bite us. We got to make the easy baskets and minimizes turnovers and this becomes a blowout. Right now Amihere is taking care of the ball better than Cooke and that's not ideal. Glad we got the win but we got some work to do.

No, but defense does. We've had some great defenses under Dawn, but this must be the best. The O will come around.
The Her Hoop Stats model had us winning by +8 (and that's without taking Henderson's absence in consideration). They pretty nailed it.
Brea had the best +/- tonight, +19! She's so good and barely gets any mention, even from our own fans. She never allowed Celeste Taylor to get going. Duke needed a big performance out her to win the game.

Good axiom, but every championship team has to validate it in themselves.
And a multitude of missed lay ups. The forwards have got to be able to hit those outside shots. You have 3 people that won't take that shot. Cooke is for some reason out of sync, shooting and ball handling woes. Henderson is the key to a good offense.
