It is about to get cold and the set backs are

1. The electric bill will increase

2. When it gets this cold I start my car at least twice a day. I have a garage, but I still go out and start my car in the morning and evening and let it run for 10-15 minutes so the battery does not die and this increase my gas usage.

3. Once it is minus five degrees or colder i have to put booties on my German Shepherd when going outside and he hates wearing them.

I like where I reside because it is low crime area and really only experience three to four months of warm weather (I hate the damn hot as hell weather) a year, but these extreme cold snaps are a grind.

Depends on the where are as far as pay. I know the Cessarich guy who recently retired in Greenville made north of 200k. He was there most popular personality. But seems their ability to get a forecast right these days is of secondary importance to the once that are popular going to events and schmoozing with the people while they give their forecast

I spent a couple weeks at Drum for a training rotation in the summer. It got down in the 50s at night in the summer. I can’t even imagine in the winter.

Wow. I don't know how you do it. Anything under 50 degrees in unpleasant to me. Sunlight and outside air are also a requirement. Bundling up in layers of clothes doesn't cut it either.

Most of the time it is okay until the wind starts to blow then it gets unbearable. I have already this winter aided to vehicles that was stranded due to a dead battery.

Alaska is more dangerous. Once it gets to a certain temperature belts and hoses will start to crack and and that will paralyze your vehicle.

Weather forecasting used to be somewhat reliable but it's been god awful for several years now. I really wonder if these climate activists are now manipulating it on a regular basis making forecasting more difficult. If they are worried about cows farting and gas stoves, I'm certain it's in their toolbox:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_seeding
First it was global cooling, we were all going to freeze. Then it was global warming, we will all be under boiling water. Now to cover their bases its called climate change. Pesky little forecast problem solved.

DUDE??? What in the world are you either bragging or whining about??? Yes, I guess, some evenings it dips below 70 here but, my electric bill was $43 dollars this past month. Perhaps, I enjoy T-Bones & Rib eyes over oil & natural gas bills. Seriously, .... I can not tell if you are bragging or complaining.
