Please explain, why not call a commitment a commit ?Talk all day long, have fun, get excited…just don’t call him a commit
When was Muschamp ever lazy?A big difference from a coach and staff that is hungry and one that is fat, dumb and happy.
That's what they've been called since recruiting began. That's what every other program in the country calls them. Every commitment for every team in the country could change their mind and go somewhere else until they sign that LOI.Talk all day long, have fun, get excited…just don’t call him a commit

What does that have to do with my Comment? My comment was showing how off base the rankings can be, and you start blabbering about coaches. Take your ritalin and try to stay focused.lol. Do you really think these coaches just go out and overload a position or do you think they know these kids can transition? I swear some of you people just cant be happy and look for the positive.

They have a bent line for 107.5 maybe we can dig that up and start posting it when people have ridiculous takes like this.I know dude its killing you . That the Gamecocks have had a very successful June and you are dying inside . Literally dying inside please call the toll free "I must complain about everything " hotline. 000-000-0000. And after several decades of help , you too can come out of that dark tunnel.
Sure, that would make sense if he didn’t double down with a second post after people called him out. This is not a semantics of deffiniton discussion once someone does that, it is a “you just have no clue what you are talking about” discussion at that point!Y’all still arguing about “commit” and “commitment”? 😄 Let’s be honest, you all know what he meant; With all of the decommitments and flipping, when these guys “commit”, we all know that it is a 50/50 shot as to whether or not it ‘sticks’. The words ‘commit’ and ‘commitment’ both otherwise have a connotation of something that can be counted on; something that will 100% be honored.
We can and certainly will use those words to refer to these prospective student athletes, just don’t apply that definition of the word(s).
That would make a lot more sense and I think most would agree a “silent commit” is generally nothing more than a rumor.Agreed. If he was saying Silent Commits aren't real commits, then I agree. While it can be a recruit that wants to wait for a special day, it's usually a recruit wanting to continue visits and see if they get better options. It's like a girlfriend not wanting you to tell anyone you're dating. But the vast majority of verbal commits stick with it. Some schools have like 95%+ of verbals honoring their commitment (can't you count Clemson decommits on one hand the last 8 years?). Acting like a verbal means nothing is stupid.
My comment was about the ranking system and I gave an example of a real life situation the actually HAPPENED, or would you like to dispute that fact? Would you like to dispute the fact that we have the same situation as that example? Do you dispute the fact that we have 5 safeties on the commit list? Why don't you go back and read the list again after you've taken your ritalin. Maybe the intent of the post will become more clear to you."I just checked our commitment list. We have 6 DB commitments, but 5 of these are safeties. Unless some of these guys can play corner we are way out of balance."
Was that you or your alter ego? I'm completely focused but its obvious you cant remember what you wrote. Might want to look in to Prevagen
I posted the exact quote and thats the part I was responding too. Can you not read? I already responded to your question about 5 safeties. Read SLOWLY and try to comprehend it. Stop drinking its killing your brain cells. My comment was about the ranking system and I gave an example of a real life situation the actually HAPPENED, or would you like to dispute that fact? Personally, I don’t think our staff is blindly getting commits from 5 guys who can only play one position. I’d guess that several of these guys are athletic enough to play CB, they may be playing S at their HS because that’s where that staff wants them.Do you dispute the fact that we have 5 safeties on the commit list?
Oh, ok. Thanks for admitting you were just cherry picking individual statements taken out of context and ignoring the point of the post. At least you're honest about it.I posted the exact quote and thats the part I was responding too. Can you not read? I already responded to your question about 5 safeties. Play to Win w/ that SOS Attitude - God I sure Shane has properly inherited such, and knows just HOW to play it!!! He’s got my belief in him; guess we gonna see what we gonna see!!!If Shane and his staff coach like they recruit we are in for a pleasant surprise over the next few years. Maybe even this year.
This is my feeling. Recruit players who have superior athletic ability then develop them to be placed in positions of need. Good athletes can adapt.Personally, I don’t think our staff is blindly getting commits from 5 guys who can only play one position. Plus, a guy like Emmonwari has another year to grow before getting here.....he could realistically be 6’4” 230 before next year. Give him a year or two in our strength program he could be pushing 250. He’s listed as a S, but from what I’ve heard has the ability to play LB, and could possibly grow into a DE.
Never hurts to get some athletic guys you can plug/play at a couple different positions.
