Someone contacted me earlier today and said defensive guru and Oklahoma HC was at Clemson this weekend to watch his sons play. Apparently he was dressed in Clemson gear. My friend swears he was wearing a Clemson hat and shirt and it was not a joke. Did anyone else hear or see this? How could he face his players and commitment’s after pulling this stunt?

Venables was and still is consumed by Clomsonitus. This explains why he waited so long to take a Head coaching job of his own - couldn't pull away from Tater Town and Daddy Daboo. If it's true about his orange-clad appearance at Dead Valley last Saturday, this is not a good thing for a HC to do - sons playing for Clem or not.

so let me get this straight if you were a coach and your kid played football for another school you wouldn't wear you sons teams colors to represent your child WTH???

By no means am I am Clemson fan or apologist, but IMHO Venables did the appropriate thing ... if my kids ended up playing for a rival, I would absolutely root for my child and their team ... there is nothing thicker than blood ... life is good - Peace!
