CALDWELL! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

What a series for Elliott. Really stepping it up. We got ourselves some leaders on this team.

Imply throat is still sore from all the cheering at the game yesterday... Feels like I was at a FB game!

Caldwell's Hr landed about 20 feet to my right, and I about lost my mind! I was so bummed we lost the lead in the 9th inning, muttering stuff about how it felt like the FB team... Then he BLASTED that one, and the crown erupted! Such an exciting game!

Our lineup is so feast or famine rig now! We have guys like Martin, Caldwell, Destino ( and finally Schrock is coming around) blasting the cover off the ball, and it seems everybody else is hitting about .200!!!

It is going to be hard to keep this win streak up if we can only rely on four guys to get on base and score runs! I know we have some guys who are getting on base better than their average might indicate (Cone for instance), but I have to believe we have more talented hitter on the bench than we are playing at times. I am the most shocked by Bright's low average. He seems to the MASHING the baseball, just hitting it foul or right at people... Yesterday was no exception, they broth him in for that Ph at bat, and he CRUSHED one to left field that would have easily ended the game if it was a couple feet to the right! I feel like he is a guy who deserves to work through his struggles at the plate the same way max was allowed to do. It isn't like his alternatives are hitting very well!

Regardless- what a WIN, what a way to a tart the SEC, and what a great win streak!!! This team is showing a lot of heart and determination! Winning close games like these last two in conference play will really boost your confidence! Hope this is an SEC Vhampionship caliber team who can make it to Omaha! I think the potential is there- great pitching, the best hitters we have had in decades at the heart of our lineup- if we clean up some inconsistent defensive issues and get a little more production from the back side of the order, we could be in Omaha playing for it all.

Agree that Bright is a good player and deserves a shot. It looks like Chad is trying to work him into certain hitting situations. Unfortunately for him, the alternatives in the outfield currently playing are Shrock, Cone, and Caldwell. Pretty hard to dislodge any of those.
