Watching this game is irritating. Both these programs have had a fair amount of success recently. There is simply no reason why Carolina can't field teams that are as competitive as these two.
OSU getting beat will open the door for ND to get in. I don’t like that.
You want what I want. Baylor had a chance to score at least three more points before halftime. Failure to do that could be fateful to their cause. I certainly hope so. Don't want a one-loss Notre Dame team that chooses not to play for league championships getting into the playoff. And that's another factor in my unswerving opposition to playoff expansion.
OSU narrows the lead to 21-13 after the Baylor coach makes a stupefying mistake - going for first down yardage on fourth down at his end of the field and a bad play call to boot.
OSU just had their fourth turnover in the game. All of Baylor's three scores have been on possessions that started in plus territory. I don't see how in the world OSU is going to win this game. All they have on their side is time.
OSU has to settle for field goal after bobbling a handoff down deep. 21-16 Baylor with 8:00 to go. Oklahoma State has been terrible in this ballgame.

I don't see how under heaven Oklahoma State won 11 games. They are so plodding on offense.
Oklahoma State stopped on fourth down in the red zone to lose to Baylor 21-16. Now only Alabama could keep Notre Dame out of the playoffs it appears to me. Dang.
I've got nothing against Baylor. I'm a Baptist myself. But bigger things were at stake here.
Just like that, Houston drives the field to take a 10-7 lead. They don't seem intimidated by playing a true road game.
Just like that, Bama hits on a long touchdown pass to make it 10-7. But here's the thing, they've shown no signs of being able to run the football.

Cincinnati drives deep to miss a chip shot. Is placekicking going to undo Cincinnati? They are vulnerable there.
Well, the field goal puts them up by seven. Ain't gonna be enough margin in this game.

Hopefully Cincinnati is getting a working margin against Houston. They lead 28-13 in the third but that has been a very dynamic game. Cincinnati has a terrible field goal kicker if it comes down to that. Cincinnati is a must-win to ensure a partial fulfillment of my agenda.
