It's an interesting article about a thoughtful player who ultimately decided the game wasn't worth as much to him as American society says it should be. But what caught my attention was the matter-of-fact way one of Borland's tackles at Wisconsin was described. The article says it was "Clowney-like" hit that separated the runner from his helmet with no further explanation. I guess "Clowney-like" is an understood term among all American sports fans now. Perhaps "Clemsoning" is almost as well known.
