later, after I've had more time to get used to the 'new look'.

Question: could ya'll get the Rivals folks to lighten up just a tad on the 'garnet'? It looks more MSU/TAM than SC. Thanks

I disagree. It really looks more like our actual garnet is supposed to, not like our Sunday baseball uniforms. Those things look like Holtz garnet.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I attached help tutorials and such already on the board. Part of getting used to the new message board format is just figuring it out, I know.

Rivals isn't going to change the color format at this point, I don't think.

Chris....I mentioned how many steps we had to take in the past to post a picture, I *think* you mentioned that it would be a simple browse and click or drag and drop now? Yet I see the same old box asking for a URL here. I HOPE I'm missing something, cause having to run every picture you want to post thru photobucket is time consuming and just way too much to have to do to quickly post a picture.

What am I missing?

For once, I have to agree with Rodney. The color I'm seeing here is much closer to true garnet than the lighter shades we often see on some uniforms of the past. 'Bama uses crimson, MIss State uses maroon, UGA is red. Carolina is the only SEC team using garnet.

You can indeed drag and drop a picture into the text box from the web.

So any images you want to post have to be hosted on the web somewhere and you can't use images uploaded directly from your PC by way of browsing?

I have no real issue with that...just making sure I'm clear.

That's my understanding right now.

@Chris....Well this confuses me more than I was previously then, I thought you were trying to explain that I could drag and drop any picture from my computer to a text box here? ( I was not successful doing that).

So in fact are you saying that will still DO have to use a hosting service such as photobucket?

If so, I DO have a problem with that! Too many steps, takes to long, and why?? when a simple "browse and click" button like virtually every other site anywhere on the internet has.

You can drag and drop pictures from the web, not form PC. Sorry about the confusion.

As to the "why?", I can't answer that - I didn't have a smidge to do with developing the plan and the software.

I'm going to check to see if they're upgrading the pic capability soon because I think I recall hearing that was a possibility.

It's certainly no worse than it was in the past, that's the good news.

OK, well, no wonder it wasn't working for me! lol As to not being any worse than it was in the past...I felt it was a chintzy and antiquated system and I'm greatly surprised that there was not a "Browse and click" feature added. This is probably, literally the only social networking site left that you have to use a web service to post a picture. Wow...very disappointed in this.

The good news is that I checked and it's a planned add-on for the future.

For now, please enjoy all the other updated features that this upgrade brings! We'll keep everyone updated with other add-on features as we hear.

OK, hope it comes soon. As to the other features? Well maybe the mobile users have a better experience, but I don't really like much about the new format so far. The text boxes need darker outlines, text needs to be darker...the page is now very busy, one must do a lot of scrolling to see the topics of all 50 posts in one page do to so much "stuff" added...The boxes are scrunched up instead of wider as the old ones...

Anyway...the picture deal was my pet peeve so....the rest is no huge deal really.

Monitor color calibrations are all across the board. The best they can do is match the true Garnet color with the hexadecimal color code. After that, it's up to your monitor to display it correctly.
