He was projected to be the #3 DE in the rotation, and he was expected to get a lot of playing time. Big loss for a position that was already thin. No real Clemson fan will try to sugar coat this.

The depth chart coming out of the spring had him as the #2 at one DE spot behind Kevin Dodd. He was expected to play a ton so this is a loss for sure.
