Socialism is a great IDEA (Everything free) but it will never work..
I like to say that when you're poor, socialism sounds like a godsend. 20 years later you're still poor, but at that point it's your only option.

Actually, mine rebounded from the disaster of Bush quite well under Obama. Made everything I lost under Bush back and then some. My insurance coverage which has gone up every year fo my adult life actually went less during the ACA years as well. Growth on my 401K and in our business has slowed considerably since Trump took over and started his pissing contest with all of our allies. But what do you expect from a "business" man who figured out how to bankrupt a casino....
If your business has slowed under Trump, then you must be selling ice to Eskimos.

Don’t worry. By my expert observation, Trump is entering the final stage of his affliction (syphilis). He’s past the point of a cure and it’s just a downward spiral from here until Pence and the executive cabinet invoke the 25th.
Hmm, you might be on to something. Neuro- syphillis is good possible explanation for Trumps stupidity!

I talked to a kid this past weekend at a family function that is a current Clemmer student enrolled in summer school. He said X-Man is rolling around Tiger Town with wads of cash throwing it around like Jay-Z at a strip club. Always has several hangers on in tow buying everybody anything they want with pure cash. Times must be different from when I was in college checking the couch cushions for change to buy the .99 cent 40 of Kang Kobra.
I used to search the cushions in the law school sofas with the janitor Friday night for enough $$$ to buy some Colt 45s. That was a good time.

One Serious question, do you honestly think the Government is obligated to supply you healthcare?? I want the Government to keep me safe, that is all. I do not need them to Feed me, House me, take care of me "Cradle to Grave".. But hey, I am quick to say, that is my opinion. I will not condemn your opinion.. All i can say IS GO COCKS!!

It will save us all a few pennies each when you decline SS and Medicare, the two largest socialist programs, by dollars spent, in the entire world. Thanks in advance.

Lol. Do you really expect SS to be available to those of us who are under 50 and are saving 10-15% of our income for retirement?I dont expect to see a dime of it.

If you live like you'll never see SS you'll be prepared if you don't. Wise.

The way the law is, if there isn’t enough money then they cut benefits. So yes, you will see plenty of dimes, just maybe not the full amount, unless they stop collecting SS tax.

Reagan doubled the SS tax rate in the 80s and the rate hasn’t been increased since. The cap keeps increasing to bring in more revenue, but soon the rate will need to go up too.

Your 401k plan says...HELLO!!! Wake up!

You need a better financial advisor

Wrong, withholding was 2% until 1977 when Jimmy "Stagflation" Carter tripled it to 6.15%. It is roughly 6.2% today.

Yeah, that's completely wrong. You are right on the withholding rate today, but that's only half of the SS tax. I was wrong too, even though I've paid SS since 1980 and should remember better. Right now, the rate is 12.4% for SS on the first $130k or so, and 1.45% for Medicare with no cap. The withholding rate hasn't been 2% and the total hasn't been 4% since 1956.

When Carter came in, the SS tax rate was 7% on the first $16.5k ($1155 max) and when he left it was 8% on the first $29.7k ($2376 max). When Reagan came into office, SS was 8% on the first $29.7k ($2376 max) and when he left, it was 12.12% on the first $48k ($5817 max).

Where were you during Obama's 8 years in office? When Russia annexed Crimea he did nothing, as well as refusing to sell arms to the Ukraine so they could stem the tide of Russian aggression. This on the heels of him removing the missile defense systems that had been installed in Poland and the Czech Republic during the Bush administration. Even Leon Panetta said the Russians had been emboldened by the passivity of Obama. How about the Iranian deal? Do you suppose Valerie Jarrett being an Iranian, or John Kerry's son-in-law being an Iranian, whose family still lives in Iran doesn't have something to do with the cream puff deal Kerry worked out? It's a lot less far-fetched than the Steele Dossier crap.

As far as the Ken Starr investigation is concerned, the McDougall's and Arkansas Gov. Jim Guy Tucker probably would disagree with Starr coming up with nothing. They all served prison time. Clinton was disbarred by the State of Arkansas; paid a $25,000 fine, and was also disbarred by the U.S. Supreme Court and Clinton ended up settling a lawsuit with Paula Jones for $850,000 which was part of David Kendall's clean-up job for the Clintons.

Did Ken Starr ever find another job after Baylor fired him?

You are out of your mind. I've owned a business since 1985, SS withholding is exactly what I said it is. You obviously have never had to make a payroll. An employer matches the 6.2 SS deduction when you file monthly or quarterly returns. Withholding for employees was 2% before Carter and 6.15% when he left. I was getting a paycheck back then.

Sorry dude, but that is just TOO easy to fact-check. However, if Carter had been president for 33 years, you would be correct.

I don't have to fact check I make out a payroll every week. The only thing you have remotely right about payroll deductions is Medicare is 1.45%. If you have a payroll stub where you are having 12% of your gross deducted for Social Security I suggest you contact the SSA immediately, you are entitled to a healthy refund.
Have some adult help you on this, if you google SS payroll deduction it will give you the current percentage (6.2%). As far as Carter is concerned look up 1977 amendments to the Social Security Act. By coincidence in 1978 I was working in enforcement of Title IV of the Social Security Act and because we worked hand in hand with HEW we got tutorials on the Social Security Act on a regular basis; left that job in 1985. I am very familiar with all of the changes in the Social Security Act that took place during the Carter and Reagan administrations.

I’ve done all I can, sorry it wasn’t enough.

Here try reading this: Tax topic #751 at IRS.gov it gives you the current withholding %s. Then go to Wikipedia and look up History of Social Security and it will give you the dates and amounts of increases since Social Security's inception.

I would suggest you do the same. Like I said, I've done all I can to help you. You are on your own, now.

Not sure at 72 that Ken really needs a job, but I also don't think that would have any bearing on Clinton's guilt one way or the other. Never was a huge fan of Ken Starr. However, unlike Mueller, Starr deliberately put equal numbers of Democrats and Republicans on his legal team. When he appointed Sam Dash, (who I am sure needs no introduction to anyone as politically astute as you are) I knew the fix was in. The Clintons never take the fall for any of their transgressions. As liberal columnist, Maureen O'Dowd pointed out, with the Clintons there is always collateral damage. So it was with the Starr investigation. The $875,000 price tag for the Clintons was chump change. Other people's lives were ruined falling on the sword for the Clintons. Heck Bill made $500,000 for one speech in Moscow after the Uranium 1 deal and the Clinton Foundation raked in $145 million from interests linked to Uranium One, which was acquired by Rosatum, the Russian government nuclear agency. None of that would have been possible if Starr would have followed the Mueller prosecution model.

His coffee boy is about to go to the Supreme Court. So yes, that jerk’s holy crusade against Clinton and his coverup at Baylor will cause even more collateral damage.

Yeah that jerk, like there's some kind of a problem with Clinton getting his hat blown off in the oval office. Cavanaugh let Clinton off the hook in the Vince Foster "suicide". He ought to be one of your heroes.

Most of the increase in the market occurred during Obama's presidency, but don't let facts get in the way of your narrative.

Irony. If that orange fool had merely invested the money his father gave and then bequeathed to him, he'd be worth at least one-fourth of what he claims. Think of what one of his smarter siblings could have done, Maryanne especially if she hadn't gone into public service.
