Even though its not true and the years of Bowden we spent almost nothing on recruiting and very little on facilities until 2006.
Who do you think you're kidding? IF you weren't making crooked payments to players at that time - the reason was: you were scared silly of the . . . . DEATH PENALTY! Of course, I'm sure your butt buddies in the ACC office would have backed ya'll up . . . right outta the conference back door! LOL!

Whatever you say boss. I'm not gonna argue about stuff that happened during the Ford and Pell years since I was very young but if that was the case we wouldnt have sucked so much after Ford was fired. After Ford the school cut the football budget way down for years until Bowden finally talked them into building the WEZ. Even then they seemed reluctant to spend big money on anything related to football. That seems to have changed in recent years.Originally posted by 67gamecock:

You beat me to the $80 mil slush fund. I'm pretty sure CU had a record high or close to record high tuition hike the same year.
But y'all need to remember the cost of diesel is still fairly high and tractors don't get very good fuel mileage...especially uphill on their return trip home! Plus...comrade Nikoli Haley having to charge them for plane rides since they were busted for it!
