I can't think of the last time that Texas, Florida State, Ohio State, and Southern Cal all lost on the same Saturday. Texas A&M wins by a field goal over Colorado, Notre Dame escapes by a field goal over Toledo, Miami squeaks by App. St. by 2 points at home...total madness in only week 2.

I think so much of what we're seeing involves the transfer portal. We're seeing really good players that aren't getting playing time transferring to lesser schools where they can see the field, and the results are upsets and close games. Jacksonville St. beats FSU on a bomb on the final play of the game from a former Clemson QB to a former Duke WR. And Kentucky, who could barely complete a forward pass last season, gets a Penn St. QB transfer and a Nebraska WR transfer, and now they are one of the more feared offenses in the SEC. It's crazy how quickly a team can get better these days.

Should be a fun season, especially when conference play begins. Anything can happen I suppose.
