Temple: South Carolina assistant strength coach David Feeley has been named head strength coach at Temple. Feeley spent one year at South Carolina , and he worked with Geoff Collins at FIU in 2010. In addition, the Philadelphia Daily News reports Elon head strength coach Ryan Horton will join as an assistant strength coach.
Western Kentucky: Oklahoma offensive specialist / director of high school recruiting Steve Spurrier Jr. has joined the WKU staff as quarterbacks coach, and Indiana State defensive backs coach Jami DeBerry has joined as safeties coach / recruiting coordinator. Spurrier spent one year at OU after 11 years coaching wide receivers at South Carolina. DeBerry spent four years at ISU and is a former WKU player. In addition, Mike Sanford Sr.'s job title is running backs coach / special teams coordinator.
Western Kentucky: Boise State wide receivers coach / passing game coordinator Junior Adams will join the WKU staff as offensive coordinator. Adams spent three years at Boise State, working with Mike Sanford in 2014.
Temple: Coastal Carolina offensive coordinator Dave Patenaude will join the Temple staff in the same role, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer and multiple reports. Patenaude spent five years at Coastal Carolina and previously coached at Georgetown. In addition, the paper reports Temple defensive line coach Elijah Robinson is up in the air about whether to remain at Temple or follow Matt Rhule to Baylor. New York Jets: The Jets have confirmed that head coach Todd Bowles and GM Mike Maccagnan will return in 2017. In addition, Pro Football Talk reports owner Woody Johnson is expected to become the ambassador to the United Kingdom and hand day-to-day team operations to brother Chris Johnson.
Josh McDaniels: The Boston Globe reports the Jaguars, 49ers and Rams have reached out to Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels about their head coaching openings.
San Francisco 49ers: Chip Kelly has been dismissed as head coach after one 2-14 season. Read more here.
Baylor: Temple defensive line coach Elijah Robinson has joined the Baylor staff in the same role, according to his Twitter account. Robinson spent three years at Temple and spent the previous 10 years at Penn State as a player and coach.

Baylor: Temple offensive line coach George DeLeone will join the Baylor staff, according to Scout.com and multiple reports. DeLeone spent one year at Temple and has been in coaching since 1970.
Los Angeles Rams: Interim head coach John Fassel will interview for the full-time head coaching job on Monday, according to Pro Football Talk. Keep track of NFL head coaching changes here.
Minnesota Vikings: Pro Football Talk confirms Mike Zimmer will return in 2017. Zimmer is 26-22 in three seasons. The Vikings started 5-0 this year, but finished 8-8.
Cleveland Browns: Owner Jimmy Haslam tells the Cleveland Plain-Dealer that there will not be major changes.
South Florida: The current staff who haven’t followed Willie Taggart to Oregon will meet with Charlie Strong this week.
Ole Miss: North Carolina defensive line coach Tray Scott has joined the Ole Miss staff in the same role. Scott spent two years at UNC and previously coached at UT-Martin.
Nevada: Arizona State director of on-campus recruiting Ryne Rezac has joined the Nevada staff as director of player personnel and recruiting. Rezac spent three years at ASU in various roles.
Houston Texas: Jay Glazer tweets, “Surprise opening could be Texans, if they lose early in playoffs I can see O'Brien/team agreeing to part ways -- good candidate on market.”

San Francisco 49ers: Jay Glazer reports GM Trent Baalke was told two days ago he won’t return, but Chip Kelly has not been told yet. Kelly has a meeting with ownership after today’s game. CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reports the 49ers will consider ESPN analyst Louis Riddick, Falcons assistant GM Scott Pioli and Vikings assistant GM George Paton for their GM job. The team is also high on Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph for the head coaching job.
Baylor: San Francisco 49ers tight ends coach Jeff Nixon will join the Baylor staff as co-offensive coordinator, according to SicEm365 and multiple reports. Nixon has spent one year with the Niners. He and Matt Rhule coached together at Temple in 2006 and played together at Penn State.
Denver Broncos: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports head coach Gary Kubiak will likely step down as Broncos head coach due to health concerns. Kubiak was hospitalized in October with a complex migraine and has had health issues in the past.
Chicago Bears: Head coach John Fox is likely to return, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Fox is 9-22 with the Bears, including 3-12 this year.
Indianapolis Colts: Coaches believe change could be coming and that owner Jim Irsay is “very unhappy,” according to Adam Schefter. Head coach Chuck Pagano and GM Ryan Grigson received extensions last offseason after changes were expected.

New York Jets: CBS Sports Jason La Canfora confirms the Jets ownership doesn’t plan to make major changes, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that offensive coordinator Chan Gailey could move into a different role, and the New York Post reports major staff changes are expected.
Purdue: Former UConn defensive coordinator Anthony Poindexter will join the Purdue staff, according to the Hartford Courant. Poindexter spent three years at UConn and previously worked at Virginia from 2003-13.
Clemson: Dabo Swinney will receive a $400,000 bonus for reaching the national title game, per USA Today, and he’ll get another $100,000 for a top-5 finish. He's currently at $1.3 million in bonuses.
Ohio State: Asked if he’ll be back next season, Ohio State co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Tim Beck told reporters, “I don't know. That's Coach Meyer's decision. I worked really hard and feel good about it.”
Denver Broncos: Amid rumors he might step down after the season, Gary Kubiak said, “I love this league. I love the Broncos. I love the work, you know? I’m all in on the Raiders right now. There will be time for reflection and all that stuff next week, but right now it’s time to focus on what we’re doing.”
Carolina Panthers: Ron Rivera says he has no plans to make staff changes next season.
Baltimore Ravens: The Baltimore Sun reports offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg is unlikely to return next season. John Harbaugh has had five offensive coordinators in the last five years.
Alabama: Nick Saban will receive a $100,000 bonus for winning the Peach Bowl playoff game, and assistants will receive bonuses equal to 2 percent of their base salary, per USA Today.

Georgia Tech: Paul Johnson will receive a $75,000 bonus for Tech’s bowl win over Kentucky, per USA Today.
University of Mary (ND): Springfield College (MA) halfbacks coach Bobby Jones has joined the University of Mary staff as offensive coordinator. Jones spent three years at Springfield.
Oregon: Per source, USF director of football operations Sharrod Everett will follow Willie Taggart to Oregon as associate athletic director for football operations. Everett spent four years at USF and previously worked at Western Kentucky for three years with Taggart.
San Diego State: Head coach Rocky Long is expected to sign a new contract soon, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. The 66-year-old Long has been at SDSU since 2009 and the head coach since 2011, posting a 54-26 record.
Purdue: Western Kentucky tight ends coach / special teams coordinator Tony Levine will follow Jeff Brohm to Purdue in the same role and as co-offensive coordinator, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman. Levine spent one year at WKU and was previously the head coach at Houston.
Oregon: South Florida tight ends / associate head coach David Reaves will follow Willie Taggart to Oregon, according to 247Sports. Reaves spent four years at USF with Taggart in various roles. He’s previously coached at South Carolina, Tennessee and New Mexico. 247Sports adds that Taggart is pursuing LSU wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig to join the Oregon staff.
Michigan: Defensive coordinator Don Brown will receive a new 5-year contract that pays an average of $1.4 million per year, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman. Brown just finished his first year at U-M and was a Broyles Award finalist. The 61-year-old Brown earned $880,000 this year and was already the highest-paid Big Ten assistant.
Elon (NC): Per source, IUP head coach Curt Cignetti has accepted the head coaching job at Elon. Cignetti has gone 53-17 in six yeas at IUP, including three Division II playoff appearances. The son of Frank Cignetti Sr., Curt was previously Alabama’s wide receivers coach from 2007-10. Keep track of FCS head coaching changes here.
Florida State: Jimbo Fisher will receive a $100,000 bonus for winning the Orange Bowl, according to USA Today.
Florida: Jim McElwain says he doesn’t expect anyone else to leave Florida’s full-time staff. There is one spot open on staff.
Utah State: Former Oregon quarterbacks coach David Yost has been named offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Utah State, and linebackers coach David Kotulski will not return. Yost spent one year at Oregon and previously worked at Washington State and Missouri. Vollono spent one year at Georgia and the previous three years as a quality control coach at Mississippi State. He's also coached at Colorado, Towson and North Carolina. Notre Dame: Memphis offensive coordinator Chip Long will join the Notre Dame staff in the same role, as first reported by Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman. Long spent one year at Memphis after following Mike Norvell from Arizona State. Long’s offense was No. 16 nationally in scoring at 38.8 points per game this season, the second-most in school history, despite having a new starting quarterback. He has also coached at Illinois, Arkansas and Louisville. Feldman reports Long will have a three-year contract.
South Florida: 247Sports reports former Texas offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert and former Texas offensive line coach Matt Mattox are expected to follow Charlie Strong to USF. Gilbert and Mattox both spent one year at Texas and previously worked together at Tulsa, Bowling Green and Eastern Illinois.
Wyoming: Defensive coordinator Steve Stanard will not return. Stanard spent three years at Wyoming. He followed Craig Bohl from North Dakota State, where he had been the linebackers coach.
Utah: Running backs / assistant head coach Dennis Erickson has announced his retirement, and co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach will not return. Erickson had been on staff since 2013, when he came out of his first retirement, and has coached since 1969. Roderick had been on staff since 2005.
FAU: Ole Miss safeties coach / special teams coordinator Corey Batoon will join the FAU staff, according to FAUOwlAccess. Batoon was set to be re-assigned to an off-field position at Ole Miss. He’s the second Ole Miss assistant to join the staff, along with Chris Kiffin.
Denver Broncos: USA Today reports defensive coordinator Wade Phillips’ contract expires after this season. Phillips and the Broncos never agreed to terms on an extension after last year’s Super Bowl run.
UConn: Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell says Randy Edsall intends to split time between the Lions and UConn until the Lions season is over. That could end Sunday, or it could end in the Super Bowl if the Lions make the playoffs. Edsall is the Lions' director of football research.
Oregon: USF running backs coach Donte Pimpleton will follow Willie Taggart to Oregon, according to Fox Sports. Pimpleton spent two years at USF and previously coached at Delaware State, Kentucky Wesleyan and at Western Kentucky under Taggart.
Tennessee: Former Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich was “an observer” at Tennessee bowl practice on Thursday.
Texas: Houston graduate assistant Kenny Guiton will follow Tom Herman to Texas as a wide receivers quality control coach, according to his Twitter account. Guiton spent one year at Houston and played for Herman at Ohio State.
Chattanooga: Tom Arth has officially announced the additions of Tennessee Tech offensive coordinator Justin Rascati (OC), John Carroll defensive coordinator Brandon Staley (DC), John Carroll offensive line coach Nick Hennessey (OL coach), former FAU tight ends coach / special teams coordinator Chris Hurd (TE coach / ST coordinator), John Carroll defensive line coach Brian Cochran (DL coach) and John Carroll linebackers coach Matt Feeney (LB coach). In addition, running backs coach Shawn Bryson and director of operations Kadeem Wise have been retained.
Furman: Wide receivers coach / special teams coordinator Brian Bratton has been retained in the same role, and safeties coach Duane Vaughn has been retained as a defensive assistant, with duties to be determined later. Bratton has been on staff for two seasons, and Vaughn for six.
Cincinnati: Notre Dame wide receivers / associate head coach Mike Denbrock has informed the Irish he has accepted the Cincinnati offensive coordinator job, according to Sports Illustrated. Denbrock has been at Notre Dame since 2010 and part of the play-calling.
Abilene Christian (TX): Colgate outside linebackers coach Jordan Brown has joined the Abilene Christian staff as linebackers coach. Brown spent two years at Colgate and was previously a graduate assistant at Buffalo.
Lake Erie College (OH): Fairmont State offensive coordinator Jeff Horrocks has been named head coach at Lake Erie College. Horrocks spent three years at Fairmont and has also coached at West Virginia, Southern Miss and Oklahoma State.
Oregon: Defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt will earn $1.15 million annually on a 4-year deal, according to The Oregonian. That’s the highest assistant salary among Pac-12 public schools. If Leavitt is dismissed, he is owed 100 percent of the salary. If he leaves for another job before Jan. 31, 2018, he would owe $500,000. If he leaves before Jan. 31, 2020, it would be $250,000. But if he leaves for the Kansas State head coaching job, he would not owe anything. Leavitt coached at K-State from 1990-95.
Buffalo Bills: Rex Ryan will be paid $5.5 million annually for the next three years as part of his buyout, according to The Buffalo News.

FAU: Lane Kiffin tells Sports Illustrated he considered hiring Art Briles, but said, “I came to the decision that’s not at this time the best thing to do, even in a smaller role. Because I thought it through. Risk versus reward. There’s too much risk in that. Now you have protesters in your game and at your stadium because you hired Art. That’s not worth it.”
Chattanooga: John Carroll University director of player personnel Scott Aligo will follow Tom Arth to Chattanooga as executive director of player personnel and recruiting, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman. Aligo spent 2014-16 with the Cleveland Browns and was previously a defensive assistant at Texas A&M.
Penn State: Defensive coordinator Brent Pry told reporters that other schools have reached out to him, but he will stay at Penn State in 2017.
Cincinnati Bengals: Marvin Lewis tells SiriusXM that he will return in 2017, ending rumors about possible retirement. Lewis is 111-103-3 in 14 seasons with the Bengals, including 5-9-1 this year.
Jacksonville Jaguars: The MMQB’s Albert Breer reports the Jags would prefer their next head coach to have previous head coaching experience. Tom Coughlin has interviewed, and other coaches who could become candidates include Josh McDaniels, Jim Schwartz, Mike Smith, Scott Linehan and Doug Marrone.
Western Kentucky: Northern Iowa co-offensive coordinator Ryan Mahaffey will join the WKU staff as tight ends coach, according to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg. Mahaffey spent 2016 at UNI and previously worked with Mike Sanford Jr. at Notre Dame in 2015 as a graduate assistant.
Nevada: Weber State (UT) defensive coordinator Jason Kaufusi has joined the Nevada staff as defensive line coach. Kaufusi spent the past five years at Weber State in his second stint and has also coached at BYU. In addition, former Oklahoma assistant strength coach Jordon Simmons has joined the Nevada staff as head strength coach. This completes Jay Norvell’s staff.
Northern State (SD): South Dakota State defensive line coach Jesse Currier has been named defensive coordinator / defensive line coach at Northern State. Currier had been at SDSU since 2008.
Nevada: East Los Angeles College running backs coach / co-special teams coordinator Vai Taua has joined the Nevada staff as a special teams analyst. Taua played at Nevada from 2006-10.
Temple: Geoff Collins has retained tight ends coach Ed Foley, wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson and running backs coach / senior offensive assistant Chris Wiesehan. Foley has been at Temple since 2008 and was interim head coach for the bowl, Jackson since 2015 and Wiesehan since 2014.
Minnesota: In a statement, athletic director Mark Coyle says, “Now that our football team has completed its season following an exciting win in Tuesday night’s Holiday Bowl, Coach Claeys and I will take this opportunity to reflect on this past season before sitting down together to talk about the future and my expectations for our football program.”
Jacksonville Jaguars: Former Giants and Jags head coach Tom Coughlin will interview for the Jags head coaching job today, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
New York Jets: The New York Daily News reports head coach Todd Bowles is expected to return for a third season. Bowles went 10-6 last year, but is 4-11 this season.

Carolina Panthers: Former special teams coordinator Bruce DeHaven has passed away after a battle with cancer. The 68-year-old DeHaven was with the Panthers from 2013-16, but stepped away at various times to deal with the battle. He had been an NFL special teams coordinator since 1987.
Cincinnati: Notre Dame wide receivers coach Mike Denbrock is expected to be the offensive coordinator for Luke Fickell at Cincinnati, according to Sports Illustrated, but the South Bend Tribune reports Denbrock hasn't yet accepted an offer. The Times News also lists Charleston Southern head coach Jamey Chadwell and Army defensive coordinator Jay Bateman as possible candidates for the Elon head coaching job, as they were finalists for the job in 2013.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reports the 49ers will consider ESPN analyst Louis Riddick, Falcons assistant GM Scott Pioli and Vikings assistant GM George Paton for their GM job. The team is also high on Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph for the head coaching job.
Baylor: San Francisco 49ers tight ends coach Jeff Nixon will join the Baylor staff as co-offensive coordinator, according to SicEm365 and multiple reports. Nixon has spent one year with the Niners. He and Matt Rhule coached together at Temple in 2006 and played together at Penn State.
Denver Broncos: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports head coach Gary Kubiak will likely step down as Broncos head coach due to health concerns. Kubiak was hospitalized in October with a complex migraine and has had health issues in the past.
Chicago Bears: Head coach John Fox is likely to return, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Fox is 9-22 with the Bears, including 3-12 this year.
Indianapolis Colts: Coaches believe change could be coming and that owner Jim Irsay is “very unhappy,” according to Adam Schefter. Head coach Chuck Pagano and GM Ryan Grigson received extensions last offseason after changes were expected.
San Diego Chargers: No decision has been made yet on head coach Mike McCoy’s future, but the ownership is mulling over a hard decision, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. McCoy is 27-36 in four years, including two straight losing seasons.
Arizona Cardinals: Offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin is expected to interview for head coaching jobs with at least the Rams, Jaguars and Bills, according to Adam Schefter.
Buffalo Bills: Ian Rapoport reports the Bills job is Anthony Lynn’s to lose, but the Bills are also looking at Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich, Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin and Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin.
Gus Bradley: The former Jaguars head coach is expected to follow Bills interim head coach Anthony Lynn if he lands a head coaching job, per Adam Schefter.
Los Angeles Rams: There is mutual interest between the Rams and Sean Payton, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
New York Jets: CBS Sports Jason La Canfora confirms the Jets ownership doesn’t plan to make major changes, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that offensive coordinator Chan Gailey could move into a different role, and the New York Post reports major staff changes are expected.
Purdue: Former UConn defensive coordinator Anthony Poindexter will join the Purdue staff, according to the Hartford Courant. Poindexter spent three years at UConn and previously worked at Virginia from 2003-13.
Clemson: Dabo Swinney will receive a $400,000 bonus for reaching the national title game, per USA Today, and he’ll get another $100,000 for a top-5 finish. He's currently at $1.3 million in bonuses.
Ohio State: Asked if he’ll be back next season, Ohio State co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Tim Beck told reporters, “I don't know. That's Coach Meyer's decision. I worked really hard and feel good about it.”
Denver Broncos: Amid rumors he might step down after the season, Gary Kubiak said, “I love this league. I love the Broncos. I love the work, you know? I’m all in on the Raiders right now. There will be time for reflection and all that stuff next week, but right now it’s time to focus on what we’re doing.”
Carolina Panthers: Ron Rivera says he has no plans to make staff changes next season.
Baltimore Ravens: The Baltimore Sun reports offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg is unlikely to return next season. John Harbaugh has had five offensive coordinators in the last five years.
Alabama: Nick Saban will receive a $100,000 bonus for winning the Peach Bowl playoff game, and assistants will receive bonuses equal to 2 percent of their base salary, per USA Today.
Oregon: Colorado cornerbacks coach Charles Clark will join the Oregon staff, according to 247Sports. Clark spent two years at CU with new Oregon defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt. Keep track of new FBS staffs here.
Georgia Tech: Paul Johnson will receive a $75,000 bonus for Tech’s bowl win over Kentucky, per USA Today.
University of Mary (ND): Springfield College (MA) halfbacks coach Bobby Jones has joined the University of Mary staff as offensive coordinator. Jones spent three years at Springfield.
Oregon: Per source, USF director of football operations Sharrod Everett will follow Willie Taggart to Oregon as associate athletic director for football operations. Everett spent four years at USF and previously worked at Western Kentucky for three years with Taggart.
San Diego State: Head coach Rocky Long is expected to sign a new contract soon, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. The 66-year-old Long has been at SDSU since 2009 and the head coach since 2011, posting a 54-26 record.
Purdue: Western Kentucky tight ends coach / special teams coordinator Tony Levine will follow Jeff Brohm to Purdue in the same role and as co-offensive coordinator, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman. Levine spent one year at WKU and was previously the head coach at Houston.
Oregon: South Florida tight ends / associate head coach David Reaves will follow Willie Taggart to Oregon, according to 247Sports. Reaves spent four years at USF with Taggart in various roles. He’s previously coached at South Carolina, Tennessee and New Mexico. 247Sports adds that Taggart is pursuing LSU wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig to join the Oregon staff.
Michigan: Defensive coordinator Don Brown will receive a new 5-year contract that pays an average of $1.4 million per year, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman. Brown just finished his first year at U-M and was a Broyles Award finalist. The 61-year-old Brown earned $880,000 this year and was already the highest-paid Big Ten assistant.
Elon (NC): Per source, IUP head coach Curt Cignetti has accepted the head coaching job at Elon. Cignetti has gone 53-17 in six yeas at IUP, including three Division II playoff appearances. The son of Frank Cignetti Sr., Curt was previously Alabama’s wide receivers coach from 2007-10. Keep track of FCS head coaching changes here.
Florida State: Jimbo Fisher will receive a $100,000 bonus for winning the Orange Bowl, according to USA Today.
Florida: Jim McElwain says he doesn’t expect anyone else to leave Florida’s full-time staff. There is one spot open on staff.
Utah State: Former Oregon quarterbacks coach David Yost has been named offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Utah State, and linebackers coach David Kotulski will not return. Yost spent one year at Oregon and previously worked at Washington State and Missouri. The rest of the Utah State offensive staff will remain intact, with co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Luke Wells moving to tight ends. Keep track of open FBS assistant jobs here.
Florida International: Per source, Georgia special teams analyst James Vollono will join the FIU staff and coordinate special teams. Vollono spent one year at Georgia and the previous three years as a quality control coach at Mississippi State. He's also coached at Colorado, Towson and North Carolina. Notre Dame: Memphis offensive coordinator Chip Long will join the Notre Dame staff in the same role, as first reported by Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman. Long spent one year at Memphis after following Mike Norvell from Arizona State. Long’s offense was No. 16 nationally in scoring at 38.8 points per game this season, the second-most in school history, despite having a new starting quarterback. He has also coached at Illinois, Arkansas and Louisville. Feldman reports Long will have a three-year contract.
South Florida: 247Sports reports former Texas offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert and former Texas offensive line coach Matt Mattox are expected to follow Charlie Strong to USF. Gilbert and Mattox both spent one year at Texas and previously worked together at Tulsa, Bowling Green and Eastern Illinois.
Wyoming: Defensive coordinator Steve Stanard will not return. Stanard spent three years at Wyoming. He followed Craig Bohl from North Dakota State, where he had been the linebackers coach.
Utah: Running backs / assistant head coach Dennis Erickson has announced his retirement, and co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach will not return. Erickson had been on staff since 2013, when he came out of his first retirement, and has coached since 1969. Roderick had been on staff since 2005.
FAU: Ole Miss safeties coach / special teams coordinator Corey Batoon will join the FAU staff, according to FAUOwlAccess. Batoon was set to be re-assigned to an off-field position at Ole Miss. He’s the second Ole Miss assistant to join the staff, along with Chris Kiffin.
Denver Broncos: USA Today reports defensive coordinator Wade Phillips’ contract expires after this season. Phillips and the Broncos never agreed to terms on an extension after last year’s Super Bowl run.
UConn: Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell says Randy Edsall intends to split time between the Lions and UConn until the Lions season is over. That could end Sunday, or it could end in the Super Bowl if the Lions make the playoffs. Edsall is the Lions' director of football research.
Oregon: USF running backs coach Donte Pimpleton will follow Willie Taggart to Oregon, according to Fox Sports. Pimpleton spent two years at USF and previously coached at Delaware State, Kentucky Wesleyan and at Western Kentucky under Taggart.
Tennessee: Former Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich was “an observer” at Tennessee bowl practice on Thursday.
Texas: Houston graduate assistant Kenny Guiton will follow Tom Herman to Texas as a wide receivers quality control coach, according to his Twitter account. Guiton spent one year at Houston and played for Herman at Ohio State.
Chattanooga: Tom Arth has officially announced the additions of Tennessee Tech offensive coordinator Justin Rascati (OC), John Carroll defensive coordinator Brandon Staley (DC), John Carroll offensive line coach Nick Hennessey (OL coach), former FAU tight ends coach / special teams coordinator Chris Hurd (TE coach / ST coordinator), John Carroll defensive line coach Brian Cochran (DL coach) and John Carroll linebackers coach Matt Feeney (LB coach). In addition, running backs coach Shawn Bryson and director of operations Kadeem Wise have been retained.
Furman: Wide receivers coach / special teams coordinator Brian Bratton has been retained in the same role, and safeties coach Duane Vaughn has been retained as a defensive assistant, with duties to be determined later. Bratton has been on staff for two seasons, and Vaughn for six.
Cincinnati: Notre Dame wide receivers / associate head coach Mike Denbrock has informed the Irish he has accepted the Cincinnati offensive coordinator job, according to Sports Illustrated. Denbrock has been at Notre Dame since 2010 and part of the play-calling.
Abilene Christian (TX): Colgate outside linebackers coach Jordan Brown has joined the Abilene Christian staff as linebackers coach. Brown spent two years at Colgate and was previously a graduate assistant at Buffalo.
Lake Erie College (OH): Fairmont State offensive coordinator Jeff Horrocks has been named head coach at Lake Erie College. Horrocks spent three years at Fairmont and has also coached at West Virginia, Southern Miss and Oklahoma State.
Oregon: Defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt will earn $1.15 million annually on a 4-year deal, according to The Oregonian. That’s the highest assistant salary among Pac-12 public schools. If Leavitt is dismissed, he is owed 100 percent of the salary. If he leaves for another job before Jan. 31, 2018, he would owe $500,000. If he leaves before Jan. 31, 2020, it would be $250,000. But if he leaves for the Kansas State head coaching job, he would not owe anything. Leavitt coached at K-State from 1990-95.
Buffalo Bills: Rex Ryan will be paid $5.5 million annually for the next three years as part of his buyout, according to The Buffalo News.
Chicago Bears: John Fox says he expects offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains to return next season.
FAU: Lane Kiffin tells Sports Illustrated he considered hiring Art Briles, but said, “I came to the decision that’s not at this time the best thing to do, even in a smaller role. Because I thought it through. Risk versus reward. There’s too much risk in that. Now you have protesters in your game and at your stadium because you hired Art. That’s not worth it.”
Chattanooga: John Carroll University director of player personnel Scott Aligo will follow Tom Arth to Chattanooga as executive director of player personnel and recruiting, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman. Aligo spent 2014-16 with the Cleveland Browns and was previously a defensive assistant at Texas A&M.
Penn State: Defensive coordinator Brent Pry told reporters that other schools have reached out to him, but he will stay at Penn State in 2017.
Cincinnati Bengals: Marvin Lewis tells SiriusXM that he will return in 2017, ending rumors about possible retirement. Lewis is 111-103-3 in 14 seasons with the Bengals, including 5-9-1 this year.
Jacksonville Jaguars: The MMQB’s Albert Breer reports the Jags would prefer their next head coach to have previous head coaching experience. Tom Coughlin has interviewed, and other coaches who could become candidates include Josh McDaniels, Jim Schwartz, Mike Smith, Scott Linehan and Doug Marrone.
Western Kentucky: Northern Iowa co-offensive coordinator Ryan Mahaffey will join the WKU staff as tight ends coach, according to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg. Mahaffey spent 2016 at UNI and previously worked with Mike Sanford Jr. at Notre Dame in 2015 as a graduate assistant.
Nevada: Weber State (UT) defensive coordinator Jason Kaufusi has joined the Nevada staff as defensive line coach. Kaufusi spent the past five years at Weber State in his second stint and has also coached at BYU. In addition, former Oklahoma assistant strength coach Jordon Simmons has joined the Nevada staff as head strength coach. This completes Jay Norvell’s staff.
Northern State (SD): South Dakota State defensive line coach Jesse Currier has been named defensive coordinator / defensive line coach at Northern State. Currier had been at SDSU since 2008.
Nevada: East Los Angeles College running backs coach / co-special teams coordinator Vai Taua has joined the Nevada staff as a special teams analyst. Taua played at Nevada from 2006-10.
Temple: Geoff Collins has retained tight ends coach Ed Foley, wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson and running backs coach / senior offensive assistant Chris Wiesehan. Foley has been at Temple since 2008 and was interim head coach for the bowl, Jackson since 2015 and Wiesehan since 2014.
Minnesota: In a statement, athletic director Mark Coyle says, “Now that our football team has completed its season following an exciting win in Tuesday night’s Holiday Bowl, Coach Claeys and I will take this opportunity to reflect on this past season before sitting down together to talk about the future and my expectations for our football program.”
Jacksonville Jaguars: Former Giants and Jags head coach Tom Coughlin will interview for the Jags head coaching job today, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
New York Jets: The New York Daily News reports head coach Todd Bowles is expected to return for a third season. Bowles went 10-6 last year, but is 4-11 this season.
UConn: Randy Edsall will return as head coach at UConn. He will have a 5-year deal that pays him $1 million annually, not including bonuses. Buyout on both sides will begin at $3 million and decrease by $1 million in the following three years. Read more here.

Baltimore Ravens: John Harbaugh’s current contract goes beyond the 2017 season, according to ESPN. It was speculated that Harbaugh would be entering the final year of his contract next year.
Carolina Panthers: Former special teams coordinator Bruce DeHaven has passed away after a battle with cancer. The 68-year-old DeHaven was with the Panthers from 2013-16, but stepped away at various times to deal with the battle. He had been an NFL special teams coordinator since 1987.
Cincinnati: Notre Dame wide receivers coach Mike Denbrock is expected to be the offensive coordinator for Luke Fickell at Cincinnati, according to Sports Illustrated, but the South Bend Tribune reports Denbrock hasn't yet accepted an offer. Denbrock has been at Notre Dame since 2010 and part of the play-calling.
Elon: A name to watch for the Elon job is North Carolina Central head coach Jerry Mack. The Times News also lists Charleston Southern head coach Jamey Chadwell and Army defensive coordinator Jay Bateman as possible candidates for the Elon head coaching job, as they were finalists for the job in 2013.
Western Kentucky: NC State safeties coach / co-special teams coordinator Clayton White will join the WKU staff as defensive coordinator, according to Sports Illustrated. White has been at NC State since 2013 and previously coached defensive backs at WKU in 2010, when current WKU head coach Mike Sanford Jr. was also an assistant.
