So he was actually going to be recognize by the Palmetto Council for Family Values but then decides not to attend because he buckles to a liberal state democrat? Since the Palmetto Council is against gay marriage Dabo doesn't want the bad press and the State rag references that Dabo was influenced by a liberal state rep about the what ifs if he attended and accepted the award. Some times you have to take a stand. Not Dabo! The slick oil starts to leak from every pore on his body when he's put on the spot. He truly turns my stomach. I question everything that comes out of that lying hole he calls a mouth. Let the kitten brethren defend him all they want but his lack of backbone is more than obvious.

The absolute last thing the taters want is for Daboo to be doing any football coaching...

This is why football coaches should stick to football coachin'.

Jeff Scott said an x's and o's football coach is a dime a dozen in a printed interview earlier this year. They don't value great coaching as much as spoken BS up there.

Well, his daddy should've found a couple when he was stinking it up in Columbia.

I sure hope , everybody else
Agrees with you guys ... And we keep what we have

Not to be a Negative Nellie, but as weird as Dabo is, Clemson is mentioned on all sports networks, radio or TV more than we are. They are getting some really good athletes at a greater pace than we are, whether he can coach em up a lick or not. We need to get our collective heads out of our butts and get it together before we are so far behind it won't matter how much new blood or coaches we bring in.

Man, Dabo really can't do anything right in the eyes of the cocks. Some of your fans said he made a good decision by not speaking at the event and now you come out of the woodwork and bad mouth him because he didn't want to bring potentially bad PR to Clemson.

Just curious, what would be you reaction had this been Spurrier? I'll hang up and listen.

Well...I don't really care for Dabo's ways or his approach using his religion but I do support his decision on this matter. I feel the same way about Tanner doing it when he did (he shouldn't have) IMO. If you use your religion for things other than your personal convictions then at least do it in a venue and in support of people who do not judge or discriminate. Dabo blows otherwise....lol.

I agree to the point flyby. If you have substantial convictions to a subject no matter what it is, then stay true to it. The problem arises when it effects your family. God first, everything else comes second if you walk the walk. But we as humans are flawed. And it is difficult to choose. In the days of Jesus, the affect and response was understood. Today, not so much. We forgive more based on our current society than during the days of Jesus on this earth. Many have question with little else than people like Creflo Dollar or others who truly walk the walk they say. Franklin Graham came out this week to try and uphold these beliefs. But I'm afraid a little late to the party. I really will not judge Dabo for his decision, because in reality, that is a sin in and of itself. Judge not, lest ye be judged. I think he really believes his conviction, but as a state employee these days, that can be a dangerous thing. Take care of the family or lose it all. Quite the conundrum given the state of things these days. The struggle continues for all Christians.

It's always possible that Dabo feels the U.S.Government should stay of its citizen's bedrooms.

I don't like Dabo, but he made the right decision in this case. The so called, PFA is a hate group, plain and simple.

Hate group, I don't know about that. Hate and racist are two of the most over used words now in the English language. I Googled hate groups and I didn't see this org. but I did find Nazi, KKK and ISIS. Now now a hate group is anyone that sees things differently but leaves your head mounted on your shoulders.

This whole LGBT thing is about to boil over IMO. Personally I don't give a sh! t what they do. They are mostly a bunch of attention whores. My God, anything goes these days. Sad.

The OP is reverse trolling to get a rise out of house taters... Pretty poorly played :)

Do you really think Clemson gets more media coverage than we do. With Ray Tanner, Steve Spurrier, Frank Martin, and Dawn Staley, we smoke them in media coverage. Especially with the SEC Network coverage we receive. I think I just saw advertised that July 8th is our day on the SEC Network.

Steve Spurrier joined twitter and has 58,000 followers with only 20 tweets.

Sure, Clemson is hyped up going into the season with final 4 predictions and everything but scheduling is a big component to that hype.I think many teams could always win 9 to 10 games easily in the ACC. Bobby Petrino was nearly a 10 game winner in his 1st season in the ACC on a team with a 1st year QB and new DC.

The Rev's decision to not stand up to those sodomites only proves what I have said about him for years. That all his talk about his, "So Called Religion," is just that, nothing but talk. If he were half the Christian he advertises himself to be, he would not have given what they had to say a second thought. He would have proudly, & boldly stepped forward & done what was right in the sight of God & accepted that award. Instead, he decides to take the cowards way out, & give into the bleeding heart liberals who feared offending the current residents of Sodom & Gomorrah. And no doubt, he probably feared it may negatively affect recruiting if he attended. I guarantee you, if the Rev thought it would help him land a 5 star recruit, he would preform a homo marriage himself. Make no mistake, when it comes to Religion, it's nothing more than a recruiting tool for he & his 9 deacons.

Dablow should have stayed out of his mother's bedroom. Now that isn't right no matter who you are.
any college kid that sleeps in the same room with his momma is just plain weird and his momma is too....did they not have other rooms in the house....the den, living room, the kitchen.....hell, even the front porch....anyone that finds that ok needs to have their head examined

It was while he was a student at Alabama on campus. It was still weird non the less......

Dabo wimped out on his beliefs and convictions. That is what is wrong with America today. No back bone to stand up and speak your beliefs and thoughts, regardless of the backlash. The problem I have with him is that he tells this group one thing and always speaking at a church or fundraiser then in public he's afraid of his own shadow and is a coward.

People love to hate people. I'm glad we have so many Christians and good family men here to judge. Didn't realize we had so many perfect people right here on fgf. I think dabo is one of the most annoying people I have to see on TV, still think he did the right thing. Doesn't change his beliefs, just the smart thing to do.

Good grief. You're too stubborn to get it.

Some of you tough guys on here see Dabo removing himself from the situation as a sign of weakness. His job and Clemson's reputation is more important than his ego, I think.

Really? Can you point me to some official statement made by the group that sounds like hate toward any particular group? Because being against gay marriage has nothing to do with hatred whatsoever.
In fact, I believe it is an act of love.
So where is there evidence of hatred?
